About the role
The Senior Specialist II, HR Technology (Workday Techno-functional consultant) serves as a senior subject matter expert at the intersection of HR systems and people analytics, driving the optimization of Poshmark's HR technology ecosystem. In this capacity, you own the design and delivery of scalable reporting and analytics solutions that translate complex workforce data into actionable recommendations for HR and business leaders. You are responsible for extending the value of Workday HCM beyond core functionality by enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting strategic workforce planning initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in Workday HCM coupled with the ability to build and maintain analytics frameworks that remain reliable and adaptable as technology evolves. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance system capabilities, streamline processes, and deliver meaningful workforce insights that directly support organizational goals. Your contributions will ensure that people data remains accurate, governed, and trusted across the enterprise.

What you'll do
Develop and maintain workforce dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports that provide timely visibility into HR metrics for business decision-making.
Analyze workforce trends related to headcount, attrition, recruiting, diversity, performance, engagement, and employee lifecycle metrics to identify patterns and drive informed actions.
Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and business leaders to clarify reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights that address operational and strategic needs.
Build and maintain data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Workday Prism Analytics, or equivalent platforms to enhance storytelling and usability of people data.
Support workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness initiatives through advanced data analysis and scenario modeling.
Contribute to the development of people analytics frameworks and predictive analyses that strengthen talent management and workforce decision-making capabilities.
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of workforce metrics by adhering to established reporting standards, definitions, and governance practices across the organization.
Administer, configure, and maintain Workday HCM modules including Core HR, Recruiting, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, Time & Absence, and Helpdesk to support end-to-end HR processes.
Configure and support business processes, workflows, notifications, security roles, and system controls in alignment with HR policies and operational requirements to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and composite reports that provide accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
Support Workday biannual releases by assessing system impacts, coordinating testing activities, validating enhancements, and supporting deployment efforts to minimize business disruption.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and data anomalies while ensuring timely communication and resolution for internal and external stakeholders.
Partner with HR Operations and IT teams to continuously optimize system functionality, user experience, and process efficiency across the HR technology landscape.
Support integrations between Workday and connected systems such as payroll, benefits, talent, learning, and finance platforms to ensure seamless data flow and process alignment.
Assist with data imports, exports, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) processes, and interface monitoring activities to maintain data accuracy and system reliability.
Participate in testing activities for integrations, system upgrades, new functionality, and process changes to validate solutions and ensure quality outcomes.
Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and knowledge artifacts to enable continuity, transparency, and collaboration with IT and HR teams.
Contribute to HR data governance by maintaining high standards of data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across HR systems and processes.
Conduct regular audits and validation activities to identify and resolve data discrepancies, supporting compliance with internal controls and data privacy regulations.
Document reporting definitions, system configurations, business processes, and operating procedures to ensure clarity, consistency, and reusability.
Requirements
Demonstrate experience as a Workday Functional Consultant with hands-on expertise in Workday HCM and related modules.
Show proven ability to configure Workday HCM modules including Core HR, Recruiting, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, Time & Absence, and Helpdesk in enterprise environments.
Bring strong experience in developing and maintaining Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and composite reports to support business needs.
Exhibit solid understanding of HR processes, workforce analytics, and data governance principles to ensure accurate and compliant people management practices.
Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex workforce data and translate findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
Have experience partnering with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and IT teams to deliver solutions that align with business objectives.
Show capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of quality.
Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Nice to have
Experience with people analytics frameworks and predictive analysis techniques to support talent and workforce decisions.
Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Workday Prism Analytics, or equivalent tools.
Knowledge of integrations and interfaces between Workday and other systems such as payroll, benefits, talent, learning, and finance platforms.
Understanding of Workday biannual release cycles and experience in supporting release assessment, testing, and deployment activities.
