About the role
Pointclickcare is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development of their innovative healthcare technology platform. This role involves building and enhancing software solutions that improve care delivery for providers. You will work within a dynamic team to create efficient and reliable applications.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage and complete tasks throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine software requirements.
- Produce well-structured and efficient code for tools and applications.
- Automate processes using appropriate scripting and tools.
- Investigate and resolve system issues.
- Conduct validation and verification testing using a test-driven approach.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to enhance products.
- Ensure software incorporates the latest technological advancements.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to write performant code at scale in Java or a similar object-oriented or functional language.
- Experience with Azure cloud services or comparable cloud platforms.
- Experience with cloud-native streaming technologies like Azure Event Hub/Service Bus, AWS Kinesis, or Google Pub/Sub.
- Deep understanding of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Proficiency with Spring Boot.
- Solid experience developing RESTful API endpoints.
- Strong working knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Proficient in using GIT for version control.
- Experience with system and performance monitoring tools, including Azure Log Analytics, Grafana, or DataDog.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Jest, or Playwright.
- Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal oversight.
- Comfort with learning new concepts and technologies.
- A collaborative team player.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Must have working knowledge of Generative AI Code Assistants, such as GitHub Copilot, and apply their capabilities daily.
- Extensive experience building and maintaining AI platform infrastructure, Kubernetes, and container security.
- Proven expertise in observability and monitoring frameworks, with a focus on real-time performance, such as OpenTelemetry or NLPFlow.
- Experience with AI infrastructure components including vector databases, prompt/versioning stores, and AI IDEs.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kafka or Kafka-compatible platforms like Redpanda or WarpStream.
- Experience with integration engines such as Rhapsody or Mirth.
- Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio.
- Experience with Ansible.
- Experience with SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Experience developing SaaS products.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with frameworks for hosting LLM inference workloads, such as vLLM or SGLang.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation for AI model deployment and platform operations.
- Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization frameworks integrated into AI platforms.
