About the role
PointClickCare is seeking a Senior Salesforce Architect to lead the design and implementation of our Product-to-Cash systems. This role involves guiding technical teams, establishing architectural best practices, and applying deep expertise in Salesforce Revenue Cloud. You will collaborate with stakeholders to address complex challenges and ensure our solutions support future growth.

What you'll do
- Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to engineers and solution designers focused on our Product-to-Cash domain, particularly in Revenue Cloud Advanced and billing systems.
- Collaborate with the Principal Salesforce Architect to define architectural direction and solve intricate business and technical issues.
- Create detailed design documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD), to communicate architectural plans.
- Oversee and maintain architecture and system roadmaps, ensuring alignment with company-wide platform standards.
- Develop and enforce architectural standards across the Salesforce environment.
- Construct Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate architectural approaches and design choices.
- Actively participate in requirements gathering to clarify scope and resolve ambiguities early in the project lifecycle.
- Design and govern integrations with other systems, ensuring efficient data flow.
- Offer hands-on coaching for Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA)/CPQ, covering configuration, design trade-offs, and implementation strategies.
- Own the complete architecture for the Product-to-Cash lifecycle, from quoting through customer support.
- Architect and manage the billing system and platform, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, billing schedules, payments, and revenue recognition.
- Identify and resolve process and technology gaps within the Product-to-Cash value chain.
- Apply an AI-first approach to problem-solving, utilizing Agentforce and Claude-based solutions where beneficial.
- Facilitate smooth design handoffs to the development team, providing necessary context.
- Work with subject matter experts and Product Owners to refine solutions and address any requirement gaps.
- Evolve the Product-to-Cash solution to accommodate new products, pricing, and billing scenarios.
- Translate business needs into well-architected solutions that maximize the capabilities of the Salesforce platform and Revenue Cloud.
- Apply architectural and engineering principles to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and reliable.
- Research and develop POCs for new Salesforce and billing capabilities to recommend cost-effective and functionally sound solutions.
- Promote the adoption of standard design patterns and processes for solution design and development.
- Partner with data and integration architects to ensure data integrity, security, and data flow between systems.
- Ensure individual solutions align with the broader enterprise architecture.
- Contribute to a learning environment within the enterprise architecture discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with Salesforce, encompassing implementation, configuration, and solution design.
- At least 3-5 years of dedicated Salesforce architecture experience.
- Proficient, hands-on expertise in Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA)/CPQ, with the ability to mentor others.
- Demonstrated experience in creating HLDs, LLDs, conceptual diagrams, and managing architecture roadmaps.
- Proven track record of architecting and delivering end-to-end Product-to-Cash solutions.
- Strong experience with billing systems and platforms, including invoicing, billing schedules, payments, dunning, and revenue recognition.
- Experience designing and governing integrations between different systems.
- Ability to identify and resolve process and technology gaps across the Product-to-Cash value chain.
- An AI-first mindset, with exposure to Agentforce and Claude-based solutions.
- Experience working with Salesforce Connected Apps.
- Proven experience designing and delivering complex B2B SaaS Salesforce solutions.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, C4, or ArchiMate.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Understanding of security architecture principles.
Nice to have
- Salesforce certifications like Salesforce Certified Application Architect or Salesforce Certified System Architect.
- Familiarity with managed packages such as Gong, DocuSign CLM, Kantata, Gainsight, Showpad, Qualtrics, or similar enterprise applications.
