About the role

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative civil engineering designs that meet project specifications and client needs.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate project viability and environmental impact.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications using advanced design software, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to support design decisions and ensure safety and functionality.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, providing regular updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with contractors and construction teams to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractors to ensure alignment with design intent.

- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.

- Ensure that all engineering work adheres to safety standards and promotes sustainable practices in civil engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable design practices is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe is preferred.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.
