What you'll do
- Partner with leaders across various departments to develop HR strategies that are in line with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Provide expert guidance to managers on fostering healthy employee relations and addressing a range of personnel issues effectively.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve talent management initiatives, including performance assessments and talent reviews.
- Assist in the planning and execution of the performance management cycle to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and department heads to create precise job descriptions, compensation structures, and headcount strategies.
- Offer insights on compensation to ensure that salary structures remain competitive and equitable across the organization.
- Identify and proactively address challenges related to employee engagement and performance within various departments.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee relations issues and provide recommendations based on the findings.
- Act as a bridge between department leaders and HR Operations for updates related to the employee lifecycle.
- Support the mobility and visa processes for both domestic and international employee relocations.
- Ensure that the organization remains compliant with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Advocate for the company's vision and values through exemplary conduct and by promoting desired practices among employees.
- Engage in various company-wide projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree is required, with professional certifications such as SPHR, PHR, or SHRM-SCP being highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR, showcasing expertise in HR functions, employee relations, compliance, and data analysis.
- Experience in an organization or business unit with a workforce of 500 or more employees is essential.
- Proven track record of supporting teams across multiple states, with knowledge of the UK and Singapore markets being an added advantage.
- Comprehensive understanding of US employment law, especially in Washington, California, and New York; familiarity with international law in the UK and Singapore is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for developing strategic solutions that meet business needs.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, coupled with a metrics-driven approach to HR processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively presenting information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard employee privacy at all times.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Workday is a plus.
- Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities.
- Must possess authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Experience in a technology or financial services environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with HR analytics tools and methodologies.
- Previous experience in global HR roles or managing international teams.
