Payroll & Benefits Specialist
Job description
About the role
This People Operations Specialist role is focused exclusively on payroll accuracy and benefits integrity for our global team. You will own the full employee lifecycle payroll and benefits flow, ensuring timely and correct payments for every person in the organization. In parallel, you will serve as a key technical contributor who tests new workflows in our HRIS tool, Hibob, and our internal Pigment App. Success in this role requires meticulous precision, proactive problem solving, and close collaboration across Finance, HR, and People teams to protect compensation and benefits data. You will translate complex compensation rules, tax requirements, and regulatory changes into reliable system behavior across multiple countries and jurisdictions. You will architect and manage the intake procedures for new hire payroll and benefits data, ensuring every field is validated and structured for downstream processing accuracy. You will act as the primary quality assurance gate for experimental payroll rules and benefits configurations before they are released to the live environment. You will serve as the central documentation hub for edge cases, capturing nuances around salary changes, bonuses, tax adjustments, and global policy variations for future reference. You will partner directly with Finance to investigate and resolve pay discrepancies, while also validating the logic and calculations for time off accruals and adjustments.
