Product Lead, New Products
Job description
About the role
You will own the end-to-end definition and delivery of new product bets that sit at the intersection of permitting, operations, and commercial growth. You will translate ambiguous market problems into clear product hypotheses and coordinate cross-functional teams to ship solutions that move the needle on adoption and revenue. You will act as the primary product voice for a key market or workflow, setting the narrative and standards that other teams rely on. You will partner closely with business operations to size opportunities, design testing frameworks, and prioritize bets under uncertainty. You will define what success looks like for each launch, from activation metrics to qualitative feedback, and iterate based on evidence. You will mentor and elevate the product craft of peers and junior contributors, raising the bar for rigor and clarity across the product org. You will make judgment-driven tradeoffs to maintain momentum while ensuring quality, safety, and alignment with long-term business outcomes.
Key facts
What you'll do
Take our core permitting and inspections products into a key new market, partnering with GTM and Operations leadership on product, delivery, and pricing.
Build a clear point of view with Business Operations on which markets we enter next, and the frameworks for sizing and testing new bets.
Design and validate the next products we launch, from hypothesis through concept, pilot, commercial launch, and delivery.
Lead cross-functional work streams across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Operations, supporting both tactical delivery and revenue momentum.
Own launch readiness, including positioning, sales narrative, and the support model.
Ensure cross-functional partners are enabled to deliver new products at high quality, from sales collateral through support SOPs.
Set the standard for product craft as our first product lead, and support the Head of Product in hiring and holding the quality bar.
Make the case for when a product line has earned dedicated product managers, and build that team when it does.
Champion data-informed decision-making while balancing intuition, speed, and rigor in fast-paced execution.
Translate complex permitting and construction workflows into intuitive product experiences for diverse user segments.
Identify and mitigate operational and compliance risks early by collaborating with legal, policy, and operations stakeholders.
Run structured experiments to test value propositions, pricing, and feature changes, then synthesize learnings into product roadmaps.
Partner with customer-facing teams to surface insights, validate demand, and refine go-to-market playbooks.
Own key aspects of product documentation, requirements, and success metrics to create clear handoffs for design and engineering.
Drive alignment across stakeholders by framing problems, outcomes, and tradeoffs in a way that unblocks decision-making.
