What you'll do
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business strategies and operational improvements.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to visualize data effectively for various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs, ensuring that data solutions align with organizational goals.
- Conduct thorough data validation and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and analyses.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders, translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development of data governance policies and best practices to ensure data integrity and security across the organization.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence and data analytics to continuously enhance analytical capabilities.
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on data tools and reporting processes to foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, contributing your analytical expertise to drive business success.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data architecture and infrastructure support business intelligence initiatives.
- Create documentation for data processes and reporting standards to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Experience with SQL and other data querying languages to extract and manipulate data from various sources.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
Nice to have
- Experience in the consulting industry or with a focus on public sector clients.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for advanced data analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data storage solutions and ETL processes.
- Previous experience with machine learning concepts and applications in business intelligence.
