Mid Market Business Development Representative
Job description
About the role
Mid-Market Business Development Representative Opportunity
Peek Travel Inc. is seeking a Mid-Market Business Development Representative to join its remote-first organization. This position is central to the company's strategy of delivering seamless experiences to the cultural and activities sector. The selected candidate will operate as the initial strategic point of contact for a specific set of high-value prospects. Success in this role requires a blend of disciplined execution, analytical thinking, and consultative communication. The representative will act as a vital link, connecting market demand with the specialized capabilities of the internal account teams.
The position is fully remote and offers a structured compensation package ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 USD on an annual basis. This role reports to the Mid-Market sales leadership and is designed for a professional who views sales as a long-term career path. The company culture emphasizes continuous improvement, collaboration, and a data-driven approach to uncovering new business.
Core Responsibilities
The core function of this role is to identify, qualify, and develop business opportunities within the mid-market segment of the travel and activities industry. This involves managing the entire sales cycle from initial discovery to the scheduling of formal presentations by specialized personnel. Representatives will map the operational landscape for museums, attractions, and tour operators to surface latent needs. They are responsible for building and maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities using established sales methodologies and best practices.
A significant portion of the role involves direct outreach to operators who are not currently using the platform. This includes crafting and delivering tailored value propositions that demonstrate the operational and revenue benefits of the Peek platform. The representative will coordinate the flow of information, ensuring qualified leads are effectively handed off to the appropriate account executive for conversion. They must maintain a high standard of data integrity by meticulously recording all interactions and updating opportunity stages within the Salesforce CRM system.
The position also requires the constant monitoring of industry trends and competitive activities. This intelligence is used to refine sales strategies and prepare for discussions regarding future planning and target setting. Representatives will listen carefully to partner requirements and work to align Peek's technology with specific operational goals. They will present scenario-based walkthroughs that help stakeholders visualize improved guest management and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, preferably within the United States. A track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas is essential. The ideal applicant will have hands-on experience with Customer Relationship Management software, specifically Salesforce, and a strong understanding of sales performance metrics. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts in clear, straightforward language is a non-negotiable requirement.
The role demands a highly goal-oriented individual who is competitive, tenacious, and results-driven. The capacity to perform effectively under pressure and adhere to aggressive deadlines is mandatory. Successful candidates will show critical thinking skills that allow them to quickly master complex roles, processes, and internal procedures. They must be capable of independently learning new concepts and tools while remaining a collaborative team member.
Preferred Experience and Attributes
While not mandatory, direct experience within museums, attractions, or the broader activities sector is considered a significant advantage. Comfort with outbound calling and conducting virtual discovery conversations is also preferred. A genuine desire to build a long-term career in sales, rather than viewing the position as a temporary role, is strongly encouraged. The ability to demonstrate resilience and a commitment to consistent growth is vital for success in this environment.

Those requiring assistance with the application process due to a disability or incompatible assistive technology are encouraged to contact the talent team directly.
