In this position, you will play a crucial role in the internal audit department at PayPay, a leading fintech company. The team is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on audits, as well as conducting risk assessments across the organization. As a key player in ensuring robust governance aligned with U.S. public company standards, you will help enhance the internal audit framework to support the company's rapid growth and expansion into new services.

What you'll do

• Lead individual audit assignments, including preliminary investigations and the creation of audit plans and procedures.
• Evaluate the targeted areas, conduct root cause analyses, and propose actionable improvement plans.
• Assess internal controls related to financial reporting and prepare comprehensive audit reports.
• Follow up on audit findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
• Support the verification and enhancement of governance structures post-IPO, including reporting to stakeholders.
• Drive the efficiency of audit processes by leveraging AI technologies for key audit tasks and reporting.
• Conduct risk assessments and off-site monitoring to inform the annual audit plan based on business process evaluations.
• Gather and analyze internal and external risk information to enhance the organization's risk management framework.
• Collaborate with group companies to conduct joint audits, ensuring consistency and thoroughness across the organization.
• Contribute to the development of new audit methodologies, particularly those incorporating digital tools and AI.
• Engage with various departments to assess and improve governance and risk management practices within the company.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in auditing.

Requirements

• A minimum of three years of experience in operational auditing within a corporate environment.
• Experience in auditing at financial institutions such as banks, securities firms, or insurance companies is highly desirable.
• Background in audit firms or consulting companies with a focus on operational audits.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, and their application in business processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and engage stakeholders in improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments.

Nice to have

• Experience in responding to regulatory inspections or audits.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks, particularly in relation to the Payment Services Act.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CPA, or a commitment to obtaining such qualifications.
• Experience evaluating internal controls in financial institutions or audit firms.
• Proficiency in business English to facilitate communication in a global context.
• Skills in utilizing technology for data analysis and audit processes, including experience with AI-driven analytics.

• This role is classified as a full-time position with a hybrid work model, requiring attendance at the office as per organizational guidelines.
• The working hours follow a super-flexible system with no core time, typically from 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM, amounting to 7 hours and 45 minutes of actual work time plus a one-hour break.
• Employees enjoy weekends, public holidays, and designated company holidays off, along with annual paid leave that starts at 14 days in the first year, prorated based on the month of joining.
