PayPay is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader for its new business development and service planning team, specifically focusing on merchant services. As a candidate, you will be responsible for leading initiatives that create new revenue streams and improve existing offerings within the merchant sector. Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and execute business plans for assigned services, ensuring alignment with company goals and market needs.
- Conceptualize and outline new features, translating them into actionable system development requirements.
- Lead project management efforts, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Negotiate contracts with partners and establish guidelines or terms of use for new services.
- Guide cross-functional teams, including internal and external members, to drive project initiatives forward.
- Spearhead the planning and development of new payment products for merchants in collaboration with group companies like PayPay Card and SB Payment Service.
- Lead the design and development of next-generation user experiences for PayPay transactions.
- Oversee the promotion and development of the "PayPay for Business" app tailored for merchants.
- Formulate business strategies for B2B payments and related financial services, launching new offerings that meet market demands.
- Drive the development and planning of in-app services, such as PayPay Coupons, enhancing user engagement and merchant sales.
- Manage alliance projects with leading companies across various industries, fostering strategic partnerships.
- Explore and develop payment and promotional services utilizing AI agents, pushing the boundaries of innovation in the fintech space.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading business or service development projects that involve system implementation or growth strategies.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in creating presentations using PowerPoint or Google Slides, effectively conveying ideas and strategies.
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets for simulation and graphical data representation.
- Experience in drafting requirement specifications or functional specifications documents.
- Ability to engage and negotiate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with leveraging generative AI in project planning and execution.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong desire to innovate within the fintech landscape.

- Business-level proficiency in English, enabling effective communication in a global context.
- Previous experience in the cashless payment industry, providing insights into market trends and user needs.
- Background in fast-paced environments such as IT or startups, showcasing adaptability and agility.

- This position is a full-time role, and candidates must be available for in-person meetings as required by the organization's guidelines.
- PayPay operates under a super-flexible working system, allowing for flexible hours without core time, typically from 9 AM to 5:45 PM.
