About the role
PayPay is seeking a professional to join its Global Alliances and Business Development team. This role focuses on advancing PayPay's mission to evolve from a payment application into a comprehensive financial super app. The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing strategic partnerships with leading global companies, enhancing PayPay's offerings and user experience. This position is critical for the organization as it aims to redefine financial services in Japan.

What you'll do
- Develop and propose strategic partnerships that align with PayPay's objectives.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential partner companies and assess their suitability for collaboration.
- Initiate contact with prospective partners and manage the negotiation process to finalize agreements.
- Oversee the execution and management of partnership projects, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various departments, including product development and marketing, to ensure a user-centric approach in service offerings.
- Monitor and analyze partnership performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and project execution.
- Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to promote PayPay's vision and explore new partnership avenues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing and executing alliance strategies with global companies.
- Background in business development and project management, demonstrating a successful track record.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in business English, with a minimum TOEIC score of 800, and experience in conducting negotiations in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate partnership opportunities and performance metrics.

Practical notes

Employment Type: Full-time employee.
- Work Schedule: Super flexible hours with no core time requirements; standard working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM, including a 1-hour break.
- Holidays: Weekends, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and company-designated days off.
- Paid Leave: Annual leave (14 days in the first year, prorated based on the month of joining, available from the start date), and personal leave (5 days granted each year, with 3 or 5 days based on the month of joining). This unique leave can be used for personal matters such as illness or caregiving.

Salary: Annual salary system (includes some fixed overtime pay), determined based on experience, skills, performance, and contributions, with annual reviews. Additional bonuses may be awarded based on company performance and individual contributions, along with overtime and late-night work allowances. A portion of the salary can be received via PayPay accounts, supporting digital salary payments.
