About the role
PayPay is on the lookout for a Business Planning Specialist to enhance our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) capabilities. This role is essential for steering the company's growth trajectory and ensuring its profitability. You will engage in formulating both immediate and strategic business plans while working closely with senior leadership to align financial objectives with overall company goals.

What you'll do
- Formulate and oversee medium to long-term business strategies and annual financial plans.
- Execute monthly evaluations of key performance indicators (KPIs) and profit/loss statements, generating detailed financial reports for executive review.
- Partner with finance and accounting teams to address irregularities and make necessary adjustments in financial reporting.
- Manage and improve the management accounting framework to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement financial management processes aimed at boosting profitability across the organization.
- Create ad hoc financial reports tailored for stakeholders, including shareholders and executive teams.
- Lead special projects as required, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Collaborate with various departments to consolidate financial data into a comprehensive overview for management.
- Design profitability and KPI models for new business initiatives to support informed decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with department heads to ensure alignment on financial strategies and objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in financial planning and analysis to continuously improve processes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in investment banking, research at a securities firm, or financial advisory within a consulting environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing simulation models for business planning and strong communication skills with department leaders.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and proficiency in forecasting methodologies.
- Experience in corporate or departmental budgeting and variance analysis.
- Proven track record in producing clear and concise financial reports for senior management.
- Ability to consolidate financial reports from multiple departments into a cohesive summary.
- Familiarity with designing and managing profitability and KPI frameworks for new business ventures.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in English at a business level.
- Interest in leveraging AI technologies for financial analysis and reporting.
- Background in client-facing roles, particularly in sales or business development.
- Knowledge of IPO processes and investor relations practices.
- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as Zoom and Slack.
- Relevant professional qualifications, including USCPA, MBA, or certifications as a securities analyst.
- Experience working as a junior sell-side analyst.

Employment Type: Full-time employee.
- Work Style: Hybrid, with in-office attendance based on company guidelines.
- Working Hours: Flexible working hours with no core time; standard hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM (7 hours and 45 minutes of work plus a 1-hour break).
- Holidays: Enjoy weekends, public holidays, year-end and New Year breaks, and designated company holidays.
- Annual paid leave: 14 days in the first year, with a pro-rated system based on the joining month.
- Personal leave: 5 days per year, along with a special leave policy for personal, family, or pet health matters.

Salary: Annual salary structure (includes some fixed overtime pay), determined by experience, skills, performance, and contributions, with annual reviews. Overtime and late-night work allowances are also provided.
