Product Engineer
Job description
About the role
You will own the end-to-end delivery of critical features across our marketplace, AI matching, and Recruiting OS products, turning ambiguous problems into shipped solutions. You will collaborate closely with recruiters, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate hiring workflows into robust, scalable product engineering outcomes. You will design systems that handle massive scale while maintaining a high bar for reliability and user experience. You will have the freedom to propose technical directions and prioritize tradeoffs based on first-principles reasoning and real user data. Your work will directly influence how companies hire and how thousands of people find their next role in a more efficient marketplace. You will operate as a founder-minded engineer, taking full responsibility for the solutions you ship from discovery through long-term maintenance. You will help define the technical culture of the product engineering team by setting standards for code quality, testing, and operational excellence.

Investigate hiring workflows with recruiters and stakeholders to uncover product opportunities and surface latent requirements.
Architect scalable components that power our marketplace matching engine, ensuring performance remains robust as data volume grows.
Translate ambiguous hiring problems into clear product specifications that guide engineering and design decisions.
Build and maintain integrations with partner platforms such as Decagon, Palantir, Rippling, Abridge, and Hightouch to enable seamless data flow.
Analyze recruiting behavior and funnel metrics to identify friction points and drive iterative improvements to the user experience.
Implement agentic workflows that allow AI systems to take meaningful actions within recruiter and hiring contexts.
Own the reliability and observability of critical services, diagnosing issues quickly and implementing resilient fail-safes.
Collaborate with data scientists to prototype and productionize machine learning features that enhance candidate-company matching.
Lead scoping sessions that balance technical debt, business priorities, and user needs to define a realistic delivery roadmap.
Mentor junior engineers by providing clear technical guidance and fostering a culture of thoughtful, data-informed development.
Evaluate new tools and infrastructure to improve our development velocity without compromising stability or security.
Partner with designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into production-grade user interfaces with clean, maintainable code.
Champion best practices for security, privacy, and compliance as they relate to the sensitive data flowing through our hiring systems.
Continuously refactor legacy code to improve maintainability, reduce complexity, and support faster experimentation cycles.
Requirements
