What you'll do

• Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs tailored to the payments and digital assets sectors, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
• Lead a team of compliance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, operations, and technology, to ensure that compliance considerations are integrated into business processes and product development.
• Monitor changes in regulations and industry standards, advising the executive team on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, with a focus on payments and digital assets.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing compliance programs in a financial services or technology environment.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML), know your customer (KYC), and data protection laws.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable compliance strategies.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop a high-performing compliance team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex compliance issues to diverse audiences.
• Experience in conducting compliance audits and assessments, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying risks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• A degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
