What you'll do

• Design and implement robust network solutions that meet the needs of the organization while ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network systems with existing infrastructure and applications, ensuring seamless connectivity.
• Conduct regular assessments of network security and implement necessary measures to protect against vulnerabilities and threats.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to network configurations, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users, resolving network-related inquiries and issues promptly.

• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to network operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of networking principles.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols such as SNMP, NetFlow, and Wireshark.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other networking protocols.
• Familiarity with network security practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ would be advantageous.
• Experience with cloud networking solutions and services, such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate network tasks.
• Familiarity with wireless networking technologies and standards.
• Previous experience in a DevOps or Agile environment is a plus.
