What you'll do
- Design and implement robust network solutions that meet the needs of the organization while ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network systems with existing infrastructure and applications, ensuring seamless connectivity.
- Conduct regular assessments of network security and implement necessary measures to protect against vulnerabilities and threats.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to network configurations, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users, resolving network-related inquiries and issues promptly.
- Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and tools that could enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in capacity planning and network design discussions to support future growth and scalability of the organization's infrastructure.
- Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to network operations.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in networking technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our systems.

- Work closely with vendors and service providers to manage relationships and ensure service level agreements are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of networking principles.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols such as SNMP, NetFlow, and Wireshark.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other networking protocols.
- Familiarity with network security practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ would be advantageous.
- Experience with cloud networking solutions and services, such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate network tasks.
- Familiarity with wireless networking technologies and standards.
- Previous experience in a DevOps or Agile environment is a plus.
