What you'll do

• Take charge of the technical strategy and architectural design for our core exchange and wallet systems, ensuring they meet high standards of performance and security.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to engineering teams, fostering an environment that prioritizes system reliability and performance optimization.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to create scalable solutions tailored for both institutional and retail clients.
• Establish and promote technical standards and best practices throughout the organization, ensuring consistency and quality in our engineering efforts.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of emerging technologies and trends in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space to inform our development strategy.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate complex business needs into actionable technical roadmaps that align with our strategic goals.
• Lead initiatives to enhance system architecture, focusing on scalability, maintainability, and security of our platforms.
• Engage in code reviews and architectural discussions, providing constructive feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a Principal or Staff level engineering role, with a strong track record of leadership in technology-driven environments.
• Extensive technical knowledge in the design and implementation of large-scale distributed systems, with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Proven ability to convert intricate business requirements into clear and actionable technical plans and roadmaps.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively influence both technical teams and stakeholders across the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail in all aspects of engineering and architecture.
• A proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential technical challenges before they impact project timelines or quality.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the cryptocurrency or financial services sectors, providing insight into industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
