Key facts
What you'll do
Develop and release complete product features for both frontend and backend systems, handling all stages of the delivery lifecycle.
Work closely with design, product, and other engineers to create refined user experiences that balance aesthetics with technical constraints.
Design and improve robust, scalable APIs and services, ensuring clarity and performance for internal and external consumers.
Produce high-quality, tested code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to development standards that promote consistency.
Explore new tools and workflows, including AI capabilities, and refine based on user feedback and observed usage patterns.
Implement features that connect experts with organizations, managing the complexity of scheduling, availability, and payment processing.
Take ownership of debugging and resolving production issues, collaborating with the team to identify root causes and prevent regressions.
Collaborate with data teams to analyze product metrics, using insights to iterate on existing features and guide new experimentation.
Maintain and enhance the reliability of the infrastructure that supports expert discovery and booking workflows.
Write documentation for systems and processes to ensure that knowledge is shared and accessible to the entire team.
Mentor junior engineers by providing guidance on best practices, code quality, and problem-solving strategies.
Evaluate third-party services and libraries to determine if they meet the security, performance, and scalability requirements of the platform.
Coordinate with cross-functional partners to align on timelines and ensure that dependencies are managed effectively.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and monitoring.
Requirements
At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience in a role that involved building real products.
Track record of deploying production features in modern web applications using current frameworks and practices.
Comfortable working across the full stack, or a strong desire to develop full-stack skills and learn adjacent technologies.
Ability to translate user and product needs into technical solutions that are both feasible and aligned with business goals.
A proactive approach and comfort in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Experience working with version control systems, specifically Git, to manage collaborative codebases.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and adhering to the engineering standards of the team.
