What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that enhance the Nex Health platform's capabilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features based on user feedback and market needs.
• Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to best practices in software development and testing.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to inform product development and innovation.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow their technical skills.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices within the team.
• Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operational efficiency of applications in production.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend technologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby, and experience with frameworks like Django or Ruby on Rails.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development, with experience integrating third-party APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform for application deployment and management.
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, and knowledge of database design and optimization techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A passion for improving healthcare technology and a desire to make a positive impact in the industry.

Nice to have

• Experience with frontend technologies such as React or Angular, enabling full-stack development capabilities.
