Team Description

You function as an individual contributor within the Logistics organization. You own the day-to-day management of Neuralink's South San Francisco laboratory and engineering spaces. You act as the central operational owner. You work closely with Engineering, Research, Facilities, Safety, Security, and Logistics. Your mandate is to ensure labs, prototyping areas, storage spaces, and shared work environments remain safe, organized, compliant, and ready for operation.

Job Description and Responsibilities

You serve as the primary operational owner for the South San Francisco facility. You ensure teams receive the resources, infrastructure, and support required for effective execution. You combine facility stewardship, operational coordination, and hands-on execution. You support a dynamic environment where research, engineering, and prototyping happen concurrently. You will drive organization, accountability, and continuous improvement across the site.

Your responsibilities include the following.

Daily Operations and Space Management

You manage daily operations for laboratory, engineering, and prototyping spaces. You ensure these environments remain safe, organized, and productive. You own lab organization standards. These standards cover storage systems, workspace layouts, equipment locations, and inventory controls. You lead laboratory organization initiatives. You manage workspace reconfigurations and equipment relocations. You execute internal move projects. You monitor facility readiness. You identify opportunities to improve efficiency, utilization, organization, and user experience.

Facilities and Vendor Coordination

You coordinate laboratory setup activities. You manage equipment installations and space expansions. You oversee facility improvement projects. You coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment servicing. You manage vendor visits and contractor access. You handle facility-related work orders. You support audits, inspections, and corrective actions. You partner with Safety, Quality, and Legal teams on documentation requests.

Inventory, Procurement, and Logistics

You track and replenish consumables, PPE, tooling, chemicals, and operational supplies. You maintain accurate inventory records. You support procurement activities. You manage purchase requests and receiving operations. You handle asset tracking and inventory reconciliation. You assist with shipping and receiving. You manage material handling. You support logistics for engineering and research programs.

Compliance and Documentation

You maintain compliance with safety programs and chemical management requirements. You adhere to waste disposal procedures and internal operational standards. You create and maintain SOPs. You develop training materials and signage. You support documentation for consistent lab operations.

Cross-functional Partnership and Escalation

You partner with Facilities, Safety, Security, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams. You resolve operational issues. You support urgent business needs. You serve as a central point of contact for day-to-day laboratory requirements.

Job Requirements

You must manage daily lab, engineering, and prototyping operations. Your work must ensure a safe and organized environment. You must own storage systems, workspace layouts, and inventory controls. These controls must keep activities efficient. You must coordinate site setups, equipment installations, expansions, and facility improvement projects. You must handle preventive maintenance, service visits, contractor access, and work order management. You must track and replenish consumables, PPE, tooling, and chemicals with precise records. You must support procurement, purchase requests, receiving, and asset tracking activities. You must assist shipping, receiving, material handling, and logistics for engineering and research programs. You must maintain compliance with safety programs, chemical management, and waste disposal procedures.

Compensation

Base compensation is $143,200.00. Target base compensation is $160,000.00.
