SDE I (FullStack)
Job description
About the role
The role delivers full-stack features for enterprise customer experience platforms. You build and maintain production capabilities that support large global brand use cases. The work focuses on reliable backend and frontend implementation within defined product workflows. You own the complete feature lifecycle from initial analysis through implementation and monitoring in a production environment. The position requires translating ambiguous requirements into concrete technical solutions that drive measurable customer outcomes. You collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment between technical delivery and business objectives. The role emphasizes writing maintainable code, documenting decisions, and contributing to a sustainable engineering culture. You will be expected to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key facts
What you'll do
Build and maintain full-stack features using Node.js on the backend and React or Vue.js on the frontend. Develop and integrate REST APIs to support performance and reliability for customer experience workflows. Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver features from initial requirements through deployment. Implement backend services and data layers that meet scalability and reliability targets for enterprise workloads. Create and consume REST APIs with attention to contract stability, error handling, and integration efficiency. Write and maintain automated tests to ensure feature correctness and reduce regression risk in production systems. Participate in code reviews to share knowledge, enforce quality standards, and improve overall team practices. Troubleshoot production incidents and work with observability tools to diagnose issues in customer workflows. Assist in defining and improving development workflows to increase velocity and maintain high code quality. Contribute to technical documentation that supports onboarding, maintenance, and long-term platform evolution.
Requirements
The posting states a bachelor's degree requirement. Bring 2 to 3 years of experience in software development across full-stack scenarios. Demonstrate working knowledge of Node.js and building backend APIs for scalable systems. Show experience with React and or Vue.js, including components, state management, and API integration. Understand REST APIs, basic system design, and common data structures. Use Git, debug issues, and work within collaborative development workflows effectively.
Nice to have
Gain exposure to TypeScript to strengthen type safety in larger codebases. Apply basic experience with AWS or cloud platforms for deployment and operations. Use familiarity with Docker or CI/CD pipelines to streamline release activities. Apply understanding of testing frameworks for unit and integration coverage. Practice awareness of performance and security best features in day-to-day work.
Skills & tools
Node.js, React, Vue.js, REST APIs, Git, AWS, Docker, CI/CD, testing frameworks.
Practical notes
This role operates in a remote India environment within a global enterprise context. Team collaboration occurs across product, design, and quality assurance workflows.
Typical interview steps
Hiring for engineering roles usually starts with a recruiter screen, followed by one or two technical rounds. Candidates often solve a coding problem, discuss past projects, and answer system design questions. Some loops include a take-home task. Final rounds typically cover team fit and give candidates a chance to ask questions. Interviewers look for how you break down an unfamiliar problem, not just whether you reach the answer. Practicing a few problems aloud and reviewing your own past projects are the best preparation.
Good to know
Agentic AI platforms enable automation of customer journeys at scale across digital touchpoints. No-code approaches aim to reduce time to market and total ownership costs while supporting scalable management. Modern frontend frameworks support component driven UI development with strong ecosystem tooling. Cloud infrastructure and container workflows are common in contemporary deployment pipelines. Strong problem solving and clean code practices support reliable feature delivery.
Career growth
Engineering careers usually progress from individual contributor to senior, staff, and principal levels. Some engineers move into management and lead teams of five to twenty people. Others stay on the technical track. Growth follows demonstrated impact, not tenure alone. A typical engineering ladder has clear levels with defined expectations for scope, quality, and mentorship. Moving up usually requires owning outcomes end to end rather than completing assigned tickets.
