About the role
NetBox Labs is actively seeking a driven Account Executive to spearhead the expansion of our customer base and market presence. In this role, you will own the end-to-end sales cycle for new business, acting as the primary point of contact for prospects as they evaluate network management solutions. You will leverage a deep technical understanding to clearly articulate how our products solve complex network management challenges, translating technical concepts into compelling business value. A core responsibility involves building trusted, consultative relationships that guide prospects from initial discovery through to successful deal closure and long-term satisfaction. You will be expected to not only win new logos but also identify and execute strategies for growing revenue within existing customer accounts. Success in this position requires consistent collaboration with internal technical teams to ensure alignment on product capabilities and value messaging. Ultimately, you will be accountable for owning your book of business, driving predictable revenue growth, and contributing to the strategic evolution of our sales motion.

What you'll do
- Develop and close new business opportunities, meeting and exceeding sales targets to drive consistent revenue growth for the company.
- Generate 30% of your sales pipeline through proactive outreach efforts, utilizing cold email, phone outreach, and strategic networking.
- Identify and engage with network engineering managers and technical users, understanding their specific operational needs and critical pain points.
- Build trusted relationships with prospects by employing a consultative sales methodology, accelerating deal progression and increasing close rates.
- Focus on both acquiring new customers and expanding revenue from existing accounts through strategic upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and report on opportunity status, ensuring transparency for leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Solutions Engineers to ensure technical alignment and effectively communicate the value of NetBox Labs' offerings to technical audiences.
- Continuously refine your sales techniques and contribute to improving the sales process by sharing insights and best practices with the team.
- Gain knowledge of the partner landscape and competing network solutions to position NetBox Labs effectively against alternative approaches.
- Conduct discovery sessions to uncover the specific business drivers and technical constraints influencing prospect decision-making.
- Articulate the return on investment for deploying NetBox Labs solutions within complex enterprise network environments.
- Own key performance indicators related to pipeline generation, conversion rates, and deal velocity to optimize personal performance.
- Leverage CRM tools to document interactions, track engagement history, and maintain up-to-date records of all prospect activity.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on go-to-market strategies for network management software, contributing to internal discussions and planning.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in quota-carrying SaaS sales roles within dynamic markets, with a proven track record of closing new business and managing intricate sales cycles from initiation to completion.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and comfort with fast-paced, evolving organizational structures.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive approach, willing to take initiative across various sales activities without needing constant direction.
- A history of consistently exceeding sales performance goals, showing resilience and discipline in achieving or surpassing targets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage both inbound leads and outbound prospecting to build a strong, sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
- A competitive drive and a strong desire to achieve success, thriving in an environment where metrics and results are closely monitored.
- Strong technical understanding and the ability to clearly articulate the business benefits of complex, technical enterprise products, especially those based on open source technologies and platforms.
- Previous experience as a sales engineer or network engineer is advantageous, providing credibility when engaging with highly technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with networking principles, network engineering practices, or network automation tools is a significant asset for effective product demonstrations and discussions.
- The capacity to translate technical product features into business outcomes that resonate with executive and technical audiences alike.
