What you'll do
- Lead and supervise engineering teams in the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to develop comprehensive project plans and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations and engineering standards.
- Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, including progress updates and any issues that arise during the execution phase.
- Facilitate communication between various departments, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned on project goals.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical issues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensure that all engineering practices comply with local, national, and international regulations, as well as company policies.
- Manage procurement processes for materials and equipment, ensuring that all resources are available when needed.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering project management or a similar role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and regulations relevant to the industry.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with clients, contractors, and team members effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Greek is an advantage.

- Experience in the maritime or shipping industry is highly desirable.
