The Team
Our mission is to deliver a trading platform to production as safely and efficiently as possible. In collaboration with teams across the organisation, including Quants, Software engineers and Infrastructure teams, our mission is to automate, build new processes, engineer in-house tooling, and use existing technologies to accomplish this mission.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of technical projects and testing processes. The team actively engages with a wide range of business functions, leveraging their knowledge to engineer better processes.
- Exercising judgement and acumen to understand the true business need beyond the stated requirements.
- Challenging current systems and processes to achieve common goals through technical excellence and innovation.
- Keeping abreast of industry and technology trends that will keep us at the forefront of what is possible.
What We Look For
We seek pragmatic individuals who prioritise solving user problems over theoretical perfection. You will bring experience working with high-level programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#. Experience working with test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright or Cypress is essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required as you will be dealing with many teams across the business. Strong enthusiasm for technology and an appetite to work in a dynamic team is vital. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with our clients as well as team members is critical.
A formal qualification is required for this role.

What You'll Do
- Execute test automation strategies aligned with the official job posting and project scope.
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated test suites using frameworks such as Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Collaborate closely with Quants, Software Engineers, and Infrastructure teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage of trading platforms and financial systems.
- Analyse requirements and translate business needs into automated test scenarios and scripts.
- Identify and report defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution and quality assurance.
- Champion testing best practices and process improvements across the engineering organisation.
- Continuously evaluate emerging test automation tools and technologies to maintain our position at the forefront of industry capabilities.
- Document testing procedures, results, and insights to support knowledge sharing and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in test automation engineering with a portfolio showcasing work using Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, including Java, Python, or C#.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex systems and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A formal qualification, such as a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
