Responsibilities
- Infrastructure and environment automation.
- Owning, managing and maintaining our Continuous Integration infrastructure.
- Development of our monitoring and diagnostics.
- Delivery of end-user automation solutions.
What Makes a Great Candidate
- PowerShell / scripting language.
- C#, Java or Python - prior history as developer or the ability to code.
- Infrastructure As Code
- Ansible, Terraform or equivalent.
- Containerisation using Docker, and orchestration via Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Monitoring with ELK, Grafana or equivalent.
- CI/CD with TeamCity.
- Microsoft SQL Server.
- Windows and Linux administration experience.
- The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with our clients as well as team members.
- Financial Services experience a bonus, but is not essential.
- An Undergraduate Degree in a relevant subject.
We Would Also Prefer You to Have
- Atlassian knowledge
- Bitbucket, JIRA.
- Artifact storage using Artifactory.
- Octopus Deploy.
- Static analysis tools e.g. SonarQube.
- Control-M.
- Cloud experience (Azure, AWS or GCP).
- VMware (vSphere) and SAN experience.

Key Facts
What You'll Do
- Orchestrating container workflows on Kubernetes while maintaining CI pipelines in TeamCity for financial services.
- Designing infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible, then validating environments on Windows and Linux for defence projects.
- Configuring monitoring stacks using ELK and Grafana to track diagnostics for high availability systems.
- Packaging applications into Docker containers and coordinating deployments through Kubernetes clusters in production.
- Managing release coordination with Octopus Deploy, including artifact handling in Artifactory and tracking via JIRA.
- Automating routine operations using PowerShell and C or Python, then documenting steps for clear handoffs.
- Implementing static analysis in pipelines with SonarQube, supported by Control-M job scheduling when required.
- Partnering with developers and business users to iterate on solutions, while applying cloud patterns on Azure or AWS.
Requirements
- You must script in PowerShell and one high level language such as C, Java, or Python.
- You must manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or Ansible on Linux and Windows.
- You must have container experience with Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- You must handle monitoring via ELK, Grafana, or similar dashboards.
- You must practice CI/CD with TeamCity and version control in Bitbucket.
- You must administer Microsoft SQL Server on Windows and Linux.
- You must communicate clearly with colleagues and clients in fast changing environments.
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant subject is required.
- Experience with financial services is preferred but not mandatory.
Nice to Have
- Hands on with Atlassian tools like Bitbucket and JIRA for workflow tracking.
- Managing artifacts in Artifactory for consistent builds.
- Using Octopus Deploy for deployment automation.
- Reviewing code with static analysis in SonarQube.
- Scheduling jobs via Control-M in enterprise workflows.
- Deploying to public clouds such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Administering VMware vSphere and storage area networks.
