About the role
You are a strategic architect who transforms intricate global business demands into streamlined Workday system solutions, owning the full lifecycle of configuration and deployment. You will architect and configure Workday HCM modules with a primary focus on Absence Management and Global Time Tracking to support rapid organizational expansion. As the internal Subject Matter Expert for Workday EIBs, you will manage high-volume data migrations and complex transformations with precision and ownership. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions that prioritize the global People Systems roadmap. The role involves building and maintaining advanced analytics, including Calculated Fields, Matrix Reports, and Dashboards for leadership decision-making. You will serve as the key troubleshooter for complex system issues, ensuring seamless performance and data integrity across integrations. Finally, you will enable the organization by developing best-in-class documentation and delivering global training to promote consistent best practices.

- Architect, design, and configure Workday HCM system solutions with a primary emphasis on Absence Management and Global Time Tracking, ensuring alignment with rapid business expansion goals.
- Lead the configuration and deployment lifecycle for Workday modules, acting as the internal Subject Matter Expert for Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) to manage high-volume data uploads and mass updates.
- Perform complex data transformations and manage large-scale data migrations within Workday, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and adherence to global standards.
- Support, enhance, and optimize the broader Workday suite, including Talent Management, Benefits Administration, Advanced Compensation, and Core HCM functionalities.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into detailed technical specifications and scalable solutions through strategic roadmapping with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Build, maintain, and enhance complex Calculated Fields, Matrix Reports, and interactive Dashboards to deliver real-time, actionable analytics and insights.
- Troubleshoot intricate system issues and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring seamless data flow and integration across all Workday components and external systems.
- Develop comprehensive "best-in-class" documentation and facilitate global training sessions to drive adoption and promote standardized Workday practices.
- Partner with People Operations and global teams to prioritize initiatives on the People Systems roadmap, ensuring maximum impact across regions and business units.
- Act as the central technical resource for Workday configuration questions, providing guidance and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leverage deep expertise in Reporting, Security, and Calculated Fields to extract, validate, and present complex data sets for decision support.
- Maintain current knowledge of global HRIS trends and Workday features to continuously improve system utilization and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bring 5+ years of comprehensive HRIS experience to the role, demonstrating a proven history of managing complex system implementations or optimizations.
- Include at least 3+ years of deep, hands-on Workday HCM configuration experience within your technical background.
- Show a proven track record of configuring Absence Management in a global environment, navigating the nuance of statutory requirements and entitlement rules.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in building and executing Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) for mass data loads and system integrations.
- Exhibit high-level domain knowledge of EMEA labor laws, statutory absence types, and payroll integration touchpoints to ensure compliance.
- Master Reporting, Security, and Calculated Fields to extract actionable insights from complex datasets and support strategic initiatives.
- Display exceptional agility and problem-solving skills, thriving in a high-growth, fast-paced technology environment.
- Communicate effectively by explaining technical Workday-speak to non-technical stakeholders across diverse cultures and multiple time zones.
- Operate with a high degree of ownership, ensuring deadlines are met and technical objectives are achieved without constant supervision.
- Maintain a detail-oriented mindset to manage multiple priorities and ensure accuracy in system configurations and data handling.
