About the role
Become a vital member of the Payments team at N26, where you will play a crucial role in shaping segment strategies and overseeing the execution of significant initiatives. In this position, you will serve as the key liaison between product teams and both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered successfully and meet their intended objectives.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Act as the primary contact for all matters related to the Payments domain, engaging with various internal teams and external partners.
- Collaborate daily with departments such as Product, Technology, Data, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Marketing to ensure alignment and project success.
- Oversee the comprehensive development of strategic projects related to payment systems, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring their performance aligns with established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct thorough analyses of payment data to uncover growth opportunities and monitor product performance metrics.
- Play an active role in formulating Payments Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and contribute to the long-term strategic planning of the Payments roadmap.
- Execute both quantitative and qualitative analyses to enhance profit and loss (P&L) outcomes and increase transaction volumes.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams to drive project timelines and deliverables.
- Prepare and present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders to inform decision-making processes.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and success.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact payment operations and strategies.
- Support the implementation of innovative payment solutions that enhance customer experience and drive business growth.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in the fintech sector, banking, consulting, or startup environments, particularly with a focus on payment systems.
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Mathematics, or a related discipline from a reputable institution.
- Proven track record of leading data-driven projects that span multiple functions and teams.
- Experience in managing projects and coordinating with third-party vendors effectively.
- Proficient in SQL, enabling independent data extraction and the generation of actionable insights.
- Strong project management capabilities, particularly in relation to large-scale implementations.
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
- Familiarity with utilizing AI tools to enhance daily workflows and improve efficiency.
Nice to have
- Direct leadership experience in EU banking payment projects, showcasing an understanding of the regulatory landscape.
- Experience in developing payment rail systems, contributing to innovative payment solutions.
- Background in monitoring profit and loss (P&L) statements and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business performance.
