In this role, you will
You will be the architect and guardian of our regulatory reporting lifecycle. Your primary responsibility is to manage the flow of information from initial data collection through to final submission, ensuring absolute accuracy and adherence to strict deadlines. You will provide technical leadership, designing the structures that turn raw data into compliant reports. Your work will directly influence our regulatory standing and support the company's ambitious growth trajectory.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of regulatory submissions, managing the full lifecycle from data validation through to final filing across annual, bi-annual, quarterly, and monthly cycles.
- Take full ownership of critical European frameworks, including COREP, FINREP, and liquidity coverage, with a strong focus on capital requirements under Basel frameworks and national reporting obligations.
- Act as the central technical authority for regulatory data, working closely with IT and Data teams to refine pipelines, clarify interface specifications, and drive automation within our core reporting infrastructure.
- Serve as the primary liaison during audits and examinations, preparing thoroughly and responding to regulator inquiries with clarity and precision.
- Champion quality and process excellence, establishing templates, error-handling standards, and documentation that ensure consistency and reliability.
- Mentor and develop a team of analysts and subject matter experts, elevating their technical and regulatory capabilities to increase efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
- Translate emerging regulatory guidance into actionable technical requirements, defining the necessary steps for implementation and testing.
What you need to be successful
This role requires a deep understanding of the banking landscape and a proven ability to operate at the highest level of regulatory complexity. You must combine technical mastery with strong leadership judgment.
- Bring a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in regulatory reporting within a licensed banking environment, demonstrating a history of managing complex obligations.
- Possess a strong academic background in finance or a related discipline, complemented by advanced professional qualifications that demonstrate your mastery of banking operations and regulations.
- Show comprehensive expertise in European banking regulation, including detailed knowledge of CRR III, CRD VI, KWG, and AnaCredit requirements.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency with regulatory reporting platforms, specifically BAIS, and have advanced data analysis skills and expert-level proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
- Have a proven history of managing interactions with supervisors and external reviewers, understanding how to present evidence and manage the audit process effectively.
- Exhibit the ability to design data architectures from the ground up, including mapping data sources and defining logical models for complex regulatory needs.
