About the role
N26 is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to spearhead the Ops Automation & Enablement team. This position is centered around the development of intelligent systems aimed at improving banking operations. You will be responsible for shaping the strategy and execution of AI and automation initiatives, fundamentally changing how N26 manages intricate operational processes.

What you'll do
- Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive AI solutions and automation processes for high-volume operations and manual back-office functions.
- Serve as the principal advocate for AI within Banking Operations, effectively translating machine learning and AI principles into actionable systems.
- Identify challenges to AI integration, developing frameworks that facilitate the incorporation of new AI functionalities into everyday operations and decision-making processes.
- Lead efforts in structured process documentation, process mining, and workflow analysis to reengineer comprehensive workflows.
- Collaborate closely with the Conversational Banking and Platform teams to enhance Salesforce and integrate AI agents with the central architecture and AWS infrastructure.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators such as FTE impact, handling times, error rates, cost-per-unit, and time savings to ensure substantial business value.
- Work alongside Banking Operations leaders, Data Science, AI Enablement, and Engineering teams to transform operational issues into precise product specifications and prompt configurations.
- Partner with Data Protection, Legal, and Compliance teams to develop workflows that align with GDPR, the EU AI Act, and internal governance standards.
- Ensure that products are ready for launch, safeguarding against disruptions to downstream processes, control environments, or customer experiences.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, Process Engineering, or Operational Transformation, ideally within a dynamic tech, digital, or fintech environment.
- Demonstrated success in launching or significantly scaling machine learning, RPA, or Agentic AI products that yield measurable operational efficiencies.
- Proficient in working with APIs, prompt engineering, agentic frameworks, and orchestration tools, with the capability to create initial versions and design long-term strategies.
- Strong expertise in workflow mapping, failure demand analysis, and structured waste-reduction methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Experience in the banking or fintech sector, with a solid understanding of compliance, legal, and risk management processes in regulated settings.
- Skilled in leveraging data to model and assess impact, utilizing tools like Power BI or SQL.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a proven track record of presenting complex trade-offs to senior management and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
