N26 is a digital bank headquartered in Berlin, and the People Operations Partner will play a central role in supporting the company's human resources functions across the organization. This position focuses on delivering people-centered services that help maintain a positive workplace culture and ensure smooth day-to-day operations for all staff members. The partner will work closely with teams throughout the company to address employee needs, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of people-related practices and procedures. The People Operations Partner will also help coordinate people projects and special initiatives that support the company's broader goals for growth, employee satisfaction, and long-term organizational success.

What you'll do
Support the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through separation, ensuring each stage is handled with care, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including preparation of welcome materials, workspace setup, and introduction to team members.
Manage offboarding procedures when employees leave the company, covering exit interviews, equipment returns, and final administrative tasks.
Serve as a primary contact for employee questions related to workplace policies, benefits enrollment, leave requests, and daily procedures.
Assist in the administration of payroll-related data and ensure timely submission of all required documentation to relevant parties.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the company's human resources information system with strict confidentiality.
Support the planning and execution of company-wide events, team meetings, and organizational initiatives throughout the calendar year.
Collaborate with managers to identify workforce needs and help develop strategies for team development and retention.
Monitor compliance with local labor regulations and internal people policies across all business units and departments.
Contribute to the design and improvement of people operations processes, tools, and documentation for greater efficiency.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience working in a people operations, human resources, or employee relations capacity within a corporate or technology environment.
Strong understanding of employment law and workplace regulations applicable in Germany, including worker protection standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with German language ability considered a strong advantage.
Proven ability to manage sensitive employee information with discretion, professionalism, and a commitment to data privacy.
Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to administrative tasks, record keeping, and process documentation.
Ability to work independently while also functioning as a dependable and collaborative part of a team.
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and shifting organizational needs as the company continues to grow.
Nice to have
Familiarity with digital HR platforms and people analytics tools used in modern organizations is a plus.
Experience supporting a distributed or multinational workforce across different time zones and geographic regions.
Background in building or improving standard operating procedures for people operations functions within a scaling business.
Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices within a workplace context and a genuine interest in these areas.
Skills & tools
Proficiency with human resources information systems and employee databases for accurate record management and retrieval.
Experience with collaboration platforms such as Slack or Microsoft Teams for efficient internal communication across teams.
Familiarity with document management systems and shared drive organization for maintaining people-related files and records.
Understanding of payroll processing workflows and benefits administration terminology used in the human resources field.
Ability to use spreadsheet applications for tracking people operations metrics, generating reports, and analyzing data.
Comfort with video conferencing tools for conducting virtual meetings with employees, managers, and external partners.

The role is based in N26's Berlin office, with a hybrid or on-site work arrangement expected as standard for this position.
This is a full-time position within the people operations function at N26, reporting to the people operations lead and collaborating with cross-functional partners.
