About the role
You will manage a core capability area within the Conversational Banking program, focusing on transitioning our systems from simple information retrieval to autonomous task execution. Your work directly impacts how millions of European customers interact with the bank by automating support workflows through our proprietary intelligence layer. You will own the end-to-end delivery of a critical product domain, shaping strategy from initial hypothesis to shipped functionality. In this capacity, you act as the central orchestrator between technical possibilities and user needs in a high-stakes banking context. You will define the vision for agentic features that reduce manual effort and improve customer outcomes. Success in this role requires balancing ambitious product goals with the realities of banking regulations and operational constraints. You will be responsible for ensuring that every release delivers tangible value while maintaining the highest standards of security and reliability.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of a specific product area, including roadmap strategy and final delivery.
- Conduct discovery sessions based on operational data and customer feedback to define clear problem statements.
- Partner with engineering and applied AI teams to deploy agentic systems that handle complex customer requests safely.
- Define and track resolution metrics while ensuring quality standards remain high.
- Coordinate with operations and back-office teams to integrate new features into existing workflows.
- Ensure all product developments meet strict banking compliance and audit requirements.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear specifications for technical teams.
- Facilitate alignment sessions between stakeholders to secure agreement on priorities and trade-offs.
- Monitor product performance in production and iterate based on empirical evidence and user behavior.
- Drive the collection and analysis of qualitative feedback to uncover unmet customer needs.
- Build and maintain a roadmap that balances quick wins with long-term strategic objectives.
- Work closely with data scientists to refine AI models and improve automation accuracy.
- Identify risks early and develop mitigation plans in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external partners regarding product scope and expectations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, including at least one major feature or product launched from start to finish.
- Practical experience with automation, conversational AI, or production-level LLM systems.
- High level of analytical skill, specifically in defining success metrics and interpreting raw data.
- Professional fluency in English with the ability to communicate technical concepts to engineers and strategic goals to leadership.
- Ability to prioritize evidence-based decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations and the implications for product design.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a structured, compliance-driven environment.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make progress despite incomplete information.
Nice to have
- Background in fintech, banking, or other highly regulated sectors.
- Familiarity with customer service infrastructure, BPO environments, or contact center operations.
- Proficiency in additional European languages.
