What you'll do
- Lead comprehensive improvement projects by pinpointing inefficiencies, conducting thorough root-cause analyses, and deploying scalable solutions to enhance operational workflows.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, which includes defining project scope, assessing risks, managing dependencies, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Operations and Product teams, ensuring that the tools and systems in place effectively support the actual workflows of the organization.
- Incorporate artificial intelligence and automation technologies into existing processes to minimize manual tasks while ensuring essential human oversight is maintained.
- Take charge of or assist with Computer System Validation (CSV) for systems that impact Good Practice (GxP) compliance, ensuring that all documentation and change control measures are meticulously followed.
- Facilitate change management initiatives by engaging stakeholders and ensuring that new processes are effectively adopted across the organization.
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process maps, and decision logs, to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of process changes and improvements.
- Develop training resources and provide coaching to team members on new workflows and the effective use of AI tools to enhance productivity.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in Operational Excellence, process improvement, or general operations, with a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects that require collaboration across various teams and departments.
- Practical experience in working within validated environments and actively participating in Computer System Validation (CSV) activities for GxP systems.
- Proficiency in utilizing AI tools effectively and critically in a professional context to drive operational improvements.
- Strong background in process analysis, continuous improvement methodologies, and making data-driven decisions that positively impact the organization.
- Excellent writing skills, with a strong emphasis on producing high-quality documentation that meets industry standards.
- Ability to thrive in a developing department where processes and frameworks are still being established and refined.
- Exceptional communication skills that enable you to influence and engage stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- A professional background in life sciences, particularly in areas such as drug development, clinical trial recruitment, or expanded access programs, would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with project and process management software like Smartsheet or similar tools to enhance project tracking and management efficiency.
