About the role

myTomorrows is a global health tech company dedicated to breaking down barriers for patients seeking treatment options. The role owns the end-to-end delivery of our digital treatment access products, translating complex user and stakeholder needs into robust technical solutions. You will take primary ownership of the frontend experience while being capable of making the backend changes needed to unblock yourself and your team. You will work closely with Backend Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance products end-to-end, from pixel to API. The position requires a proactive mindset to mentor junior engineers and to contribute to architectural decisions that shape our platform's future. You will play a key role in ensuring our AI-powered technology platform continues to simplify and streamline access to drugs in development for patients and providers worldwide.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain frontend components in Angular (and Lit HTML where applicable), ensuring optimal performance, responsiveness, and usability.
• Own the integration layer between frontend and backend: consume and contribute to OpenAPI-defined APIs, handle data contracts, and wire up microservices cleanly.
• Make targeted backend changes, new endpoints, tweaks to existing services, minor data model updates, so you can ship features without always depending on a dedicated backend engineer.
• Contribute to architectural discussions across the full stack, from UI component structure to API design and data access patterns.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing feedback on both frontend and backend code quality, adherence to standards, and performance.
• Mentor and support junior engineers across the stack.
• Stay current with evolving frontend and full-stack best practices.
• Implement solutions that meet regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to global health tech environments.
• Collaborate with specialized teams focused on clinical trial patient recruitment, Expanded Access Programs, and Real-World Data collection.
• Translate complex stakeholder requirements into technical tasks that drive the delivery of reliable and scalable features.
• Ensure the stability and scalability of our platform as we support over 17,000 patients, 3,000 physicians and 350 sites across 134 countries.
• Drive the adoption of containerised workflows using Docker to improve deployment consistency and reliability.
• Build and maintain strong product feedback loops with BioPharma companies and patient advocacy groups.
• Contribute to observability, error tracking, and performance budgets to maintain a high-quality user experience.
• Document architectural decisions and integration contracts to ensure long-term maintainability and team alignment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in frontend or full stack engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Angular and experience with component-based frameworks such as Lit HTML.
• Solid understanding of responsive design, UX/UI principles, and a keen eye for design detail.
• Proven experience integrating with APIs and microservices, you understand HTTP, REST conventions, auth flows, and error handling deeply.
• Working proficiency in Python, enough to navigate a FastAPI codebase, add or adjust endpoints, and write Pydantic models and SQLAlchemy queries.
• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) at the query and schema level.
• Experience with containerised workflows using Docker.
• Excellent problem-solving skills; comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work across disciplines.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as part of daily workflow.
• Familiarity with LLM API integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) and an understanding of the UX patterns specific to AI-powered features.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Willingness to collaborate closely with colleagues in the Netherlands and operate within the constraints of our Amsterdam-based team.
• Understanding of the importance of regulatory and compliance considerations in a global health tech context.

Nice to have

• Experience contributing to open source projects relevant to web development or health tech.
• Familiarity with clinical research terminology and drug development workflows.
• Previous work in regulated environments where compliance and auditability are critical.
• Knowledge of data privacy frameworks relevant to patient data handling.

Practical notes

The position is based at our Amsterdam headquarters, and the candidate must live within commuting distance of our office located at https://goo.gl/maps/eJm9Npi5izDLxDBS9.
