French Speaking Commercial Outbound Account Executive

About the role
You own the full commercial lifecycle for French-speaking prospects in the Canadian market, driving new business and portfolio expansion from initial contact to signed agreement. You are responsible for developing and executing a consultative outbound sales strategy that targets fleet managers and executive stakeholders to secure new enterprise-level contracts. You will leverage deep product knowledge of the Motive platform to articulate value, handle objections, and position our solution as a critical business enabler. You own your pipeline metrics and are accountable for forecasting, quota attainment, and consistent revenue generation against assigned targets. You act as a key voice of the customer, feeding market insights and competitive intelligence back to product and sales leadership to refine our positioning. You coach and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless handoffs and alignment on account strategy. What you'll do
- Prospect and win new business for Motive through developing strong executive relationships within key prospects to drive expansion of that business with all major accounts, growing share of wallet through developing a deep understanding of each client's business and identifying opportunities for additional collaboration.
- Survey prospects to understand pain points within their business so you can align those business needs with the Motive solution.
- Demo Motive software to prospective fleet managers and drivers.
- Resolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically to determine the optimal course of action, and implementing best available solutions.
- Effectively plan to meet and exceed your ongoing business goals and revenue quotas.
- Develop a deep understanding of our technology platform and operations, using that understanding and market input to bring back iterations to our business.
- Constantly study and deepen understanding of market trends to enable consultative insight.
- Communicate value propositions clearly and persuasively to C-level and operational stakeholders within complex selling environments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems to ensure full pipeline visibility and forecasting accuracy.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine messaging, collateral, and campaign targeting for French-speaking segments.
- Identify and penetrate new verticals and customer profiles to drive adoption across transportation, logistics, construction, and field service segments.
- Conduct competitive analysis and adjust selling tactics to differentiate our offerings and reinforce strategic advantages.
- Support account-based initiatives and coordinate with customer success to ensure alignment from sale to adoption.
- Track and report on key performance indicators such as conversion rates, average deal size, and sales cycle length to inform continuous improvement.
- Engage in ongoing learning and skill development to stay current with sales methodologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Proficiency in both English & French languages (written and verbal).
- 3+ years of outbound sales experience preferably with B2B international clients (US/Canada/UK/France).
- Repeated success with a complex sales motion - strong track record of hunting, exceeding quotas and rapidly growing your book over time, backed up by data.
- Strong end-to-end ownership attitude from prospecting, demonstrations, to closing.
- Strong ability to build rapport with executive decision-makers, influencing outcomes through both an understanding of the customer's business and the unique solutions that Motive can deliver.
- History of working independently with a data-driven mindset for charting a path to short, medium, and long-term sales goals.
- Best-in-class communication skills, with the ability to successfully convey key value propositions and quickly manage objections.
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably an overseas degree from US/UK/France/Canada) and/or in-depth exposure to US/UK/France/Canada B2B customers.
- Must be authorized to receive and access commodities and technologies controlled under U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
- Candidate must be available for interviews and potential in-person training sessions at one of our global offices.
