Software Engineer, Data
Job description
About the role
Monticelloam seeks a Software Engineer to serve as the core technical partner for Trustwell Living. In this capacity, you will consolidate operational data from every business system into a single, reliable data platform. You will then own the development of the reporting, dashboards, and internal applications that empower daily decision-making for senior living management. Trustwell Living operates across 41 senior housing communities in the United States, managing clinical care, staffing, budgets, and operational systems. Your work will directly support these functions by ensuring data accuracy and delivery reliability. This position requires on-site presence at our New York office.
Our Tech Stack
The data platform is built on modern, scalable technologies. You will work directly with Python for backend services, APIs, and automation. The front-end relies on React to power internal tools and user interfaces. Data delivery is accomplished through robust REST APIs. The warehouse layer is Snowflake, supported by dbt for version-controlled transformations and Airflow for orchestration. SQL remains central for data modeling and analysis. Infrastructure runs on AWS, with Docker and CI/CD pipelines ensuring reliable deployments. Version control is managed via Git.
On the business systems side, you will interface with multiple enterprise applications. These include Sage Intacct for accounting and financial management. Ramp handles spend management and corporate cards. AVID drives accounts payable automation. ECP manages electronic care planning and eMAR. Welcome Home serves as the CRM and resident move-in management system. UKG supports HR, payroll, and workforce management. Teambridge facilitates workforce scheduling and communication. Monday.com is used for project and work management. Jobvite powers recruiting and applicant tracking.
About Your Team
You will join an entrepreneurial and collaborative team responsible for building the data, reporting, and analytics that power Trustwell Living's management operations and executive oversight. You will work closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and offshore development teams. The goal is to translate requirements into delivered solutions, with each team member taking full ownership of their work beyond mere implementation.
What you'll own
You will act as the primary engineering resource for Trustwell Living, guiding projects from initial business problem identification through to production deployment. This includes designing and constructing the data pipelines that aggregate information from all systems into Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt. You will build full-stack internal applications, combining React front ends with Python APIs, including CRUD functionality. A core responsibility is developing reporting and dashboards that provide portfolio-level insights for both operational and executive review.
Your contributions will also extend to evolving data models and warehouse architecture. You will help establish data quality frameworks and automated QC processes to ensure consistency and accuracy. You will define deployment strategies, CI/CD workflows, and monitoring protocols to maintain system reliability. You will also manage integrations with key business systems such as ECP, UKG, and Sage Intacct, ensuring finance and HR workflows remain accurate and timely. You will maintain the connections for Welcome Home and Teambridge, aligning resident data with operational views.
