MongoDB is looking for a Vice President to lead the Global Specialist Sales team, focusing on high-growth and innovative products such as Agentic applications, Voyage AI, Vector Search, and Analytics. What you'll do
- Take ownership of global revenue targets for Agentic, Voyage AI, Vector Search, and Analytics, developing strategies and maintaining forecasting accuracy to achieve these goals.
- Recruit and manage a global team of Specialist Sales leaders and Solutions Architects, ensuring effective coverage and professional development across various regions.
- Operate with a startup mentality, creating playbooks and qualification criteria from the ground up to adapt to early-stage product-market fit.
- Establish fast and structured feedback loops between the sales team and Product/Engineering, using insights from customers to influence product direction.
- Ensure excellence in demos and pilot programs, providing the team with high-quality demo materials and methodologies that enhance customer engagement.
- Collaborate closely with core field sales teams to amplify account strategies and address technical challenges effectively.
- Work alongside Product leadership to influence the roadmap and product positioning based on field experiences.
- Advocate for consumption-based selling strategies that demonstrate value over time, encouraging customer growth through usage expansion.
- Represent MongoDB at industry events and in discussions with key customers, serving as a high-level spokesperson for our innovative products.
Requirements
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in enterprise software sales or go-to-market leadership, with a proven history of building and scaling specialist organizations.
- Experience managing both sales and technical teams in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
- Familiarity with early product-market fit scenarios, comfortable navigating ambiguity and developing processes from scratch.
- Track record of owning revenue or consumption targets on a global or multi-regional scale.
- Understanding of consumption-based business models, including usage-based pricing and land-and-expand strategies.
- Knowledge of Agentic AI architectures, vector search, and modern analytics platforms, enabling effective engagement with technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to create iterative feedback mechanisms between sales and product teams.
- Experience in establishing demo and pilot programs that can scale across a diverse global team.
- Strong executive presence with the capability to influence across various functions without direct authority.
- Willingness to travel internationally to support team initiatives and customer engagements.

MongoDB's base salary range for this position is $270,000 USD. Compensation varies based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location.
