We are seeking candidates located in Bengaluru to join our hybrid work environment. This position involves collaborating with partners and customers to ensure the effective deployment and maintenance of our database systems. The role requires a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges in production settings. You will act as a critical bridge between our product technology and the partner ecosystem. What you'll do
- Architect and implement robust production database deployments utilizing both RDBMS and NoSQL technologies.
- Engineer solutions using versatile programming languages including Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, and Go.
- Orchestrate the integration of our database platforms with diverse third-party ecosystems spanning security, big data analytics, healthcare, and financial services.
- Execute deep-dive systems engineering procedures focusing on Linux performance optimization, memory management, I/O tuning, security hardening, and networking protocols.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate issues that traverse the application stack, database layer, and underlying storage infrastructure.
- Investigate and fine-tune the TCP/IP networking stack across various operating systems and hypervisor environments.
- Oversee and resolve complexities associated with public cloud service stacks on AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimize storage architectures including NAS, SAN, and direct-attached local storage systems.
- Design and develop bespoke solutions tailored to specific application workloads and demanding use cases.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of system behavior to preemptively identify potential failures and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to escalate and resolve critical production incidents.
- Document technical procedures and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and operational consistency.
- Mentor partner engineers on best practices for database administration and cloud infrastructure management.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to determine potential enhancements for partner deployments.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in constructing and maintaining mission-critical database systems, whether they are RDBMS or NoSQL based.
- Mastery of at least one programming language specifically Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, or Go for application development.
- Extensive hands-on experience with systems engineering methodologies with a strong emphasis on Linux operating systems.
- Proven ability to dissect and troubleshoot the TCP/IP networking stack in complex environments.
- Substantial experience managing cloud service stacks across major providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Advanced knowledge of administering enterprise-grade storage solutions and implementing multi-pathing strategies.
- Solid understanding of database architecture principles and performance tuning techniques.
- Capability to work effectively in a hybrid work model balancing remote and office-based commitments.
- Eligibility to legally work and reside in India is a mandatory requirement for this position.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to following established security protocols and compliance standards.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for partner meetings or on-site customer support.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB is explicitly preferred for this role.
- In-depth understanding of enterprise authentication systems such as LDAP, Kerberos, or Active Directory.
- Proficiency with distributed version control systems with a strong focus on Git workflows.
- Experience with Kubernetes orchestration and management, particularly with vendor-specific Enterprise operators.
- Prior background working closely with software product teams and navigating formal product release processes.
- Familiarity with database backup and disaster recovery methodologies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools for automated provisioning.
