About the role
We are on the lookout for talented technology experts to join our Pre-Sales team, ensuring that our expansion aligns seamlessly with our platform's capabilities and the needs of our clients. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through the design and implementation of scalable systems utilizing our data platform. You will work closely with sales teams to tackle business challenges and contribute to our overall success.

What you'll do
- Design and architect scalable applications and systems for large-scale software projects using MongoDB technologies.
- Provide expert advice to clients on architectural patterns and optimization techniques for MongoDB, effectively communicating the business benefits to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the sales team to drive account success through strategic planning, opportunity assessment, and pipeline development, while overseeing technical elements such as demonstrations and documentation.
- Create demand within your designated sales territory by initiating proactive technical initiatives and participating in industry-related events.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction and success with our solutions.
- Continuously explore innovative ways to enhance MongoDB offerings, providing valuable feedback to the product development team and mentoring other members of the Solutions Consulting team.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to keep abreast of MongoDB products and industry trends.
- Assist in the creation of technical content and resources to support sales efforts and customer education.
- Engage in troubleshooting and problem-solving for customer challenges, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and methodologies for solution architecture within the organization.
- Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to foster a culture of learning and collaboration.
Requirements
- Between 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the technology sector, with a minimum of 2 years in a customer-facing capacity.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with modern scripting languages (such as Python, Node.js, SQL) or widely-used programming languages (including C/C++, Java, C#) in a professional environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of scalable and highly available distributed systems, whether in cloud-based settings or on-premises infrastructures.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex application architectures and provide actionable recommendations for improvement through technology.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to convey technical and business concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional sales teams throughout the entire sales cycle.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
Nice to have
- Experience with developing, deploying, or supporting applications on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Background in a technical pre-sales environment, enhancing your ability to engage with clients effectively.
- Familiarity with database programming and data modeling principles.
- Involvement in data engineering or artificial intelligence/machine learning projects.
- Understanding of sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message, which can enhance your effectiveness in the role.
- MongoDB Certification or certification from a cloud provider, demonstrating your expertise in the field.

- Experience with distributed systems architecture and cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with sales processes and strategies for effective customer engagement.
