In the position of Solutions Architect at MongoDB, you will be integral in guiding clients through the design and implementation of scalable systems leveraging our advanced data platform. This role combines technical proficiency with customer interaction, allowing you to act as a trusted advisor to a wide array of clients, ranging from innovative startups to established enterprises.

What you'll do
- Develop and design scalable applications and systems for significant software projects using MongoDB's capabilities.
- Provide expert advice to clients on architectural frameworks and optimization techniques for MongoDB, effectively conveying the business advantages to various stakeholders.
- Work closely with the sales team to drive account success through strategic planning, opportunity assessment, and the technical aspects of the sales process, including conducting demos and presentations.
- Foster demand within your designated sales territory through proactive technical initiatives and participation in relevant industry events.
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers to ensure their ongoing success and satisfaction with our solutions.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in MongoDB solutions and processes while also mentoring fellow team members.
- Participate in continuous professional development to remain informed about MongoDB products and industry advancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions and client needs.
- Analyze client requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications for implementation.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving client issues related to MongoDB deployments and applications.
- Engage in knowledge sharing and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
- Stay abreast of competitive landscape and market trends to better serve clients and enhance MongoDB's offerings.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the industry, with at least 2 years in a role that involves direct customer interaction.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with modern scripting languages (such as Python, Node.js, SQL) or widely-used programming languages (including C/C++, Java, C#) in a professional environment.
- Demonstrated experience in deploying scalable and highly available distributed systems, both in cloud environments and on-premises.
- Ability to assess complex architectures of existing applications and provide technology-driven recommendations for enhancements.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to clearly explain intricate technical and business concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of collaborating with a cross-functional sales team to manage the complete deal cycle effectively.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in German, both written and spoken, is essential for this role.
Nice to have
- Experience with application development, deployment, or support on leading cloud platforms.
- Previous experience in a technical pre-sales capacity.
- Understanding of database programming and data modeling concepts.
- Background in data engineering or projects related to AI/ML.
- Familiarity with popular sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
- MongoDB Certification and/or relevant Cloud Provider Certification would be advantageous.
Skills & tools
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages and scripting techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud computing services and distributed systems architecture.
- Experience with database technologies, particularly MongoDB, is highly desirable.

Salary information: The expected salary range for this role in Poland is between 235,000 PLN and 348,000 PLN. Compensation may vary based on individual qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Alongside the base salary, MongoDB offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes equity options, flexible paid time off, and a variety of health benefits to support employee well-being.
