We are seeking a Salesforce CPQ Engineer 3 to join our team in Gurugram. This position is designed for individuals who can work in a hybrid environment, contributing to the optimization of our sales processes and enhancing customer interactions. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales teams by implementing and maintaining our Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) solutions. The role demands a high level of ownership over the entire quote-to-cash lifecycle within the Salesforce ecosystem. You will be responsible for ensuring that our CPQ systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with evolving business needs. What you'll do
- Architect and enhance product catalog structures within Salesforce to support complex bundling and configuration rules.
- Engineer sophisticated pricing rules and discount matrices using Advanced Formula Entries and Price Books to ensure accurate quote generation.
- Develop and maintain Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages for custom user interfaces within the CPQ workflow.
- Optimize Salesforce Flows to automate approval processes and eliminate manual steps in the quoting journey.
- Write efficient SOQL and SOSL queries to retrieve and manipulate data across Salesforce objects for CPQ integrations.
- Build and manage REST and SOAP API integrations connecting Salesforce CPQ with external ERP and billing systems.
- Conduct thorough system analysis to diagnose performance bottlenecks and configuration errors impacting quote generation.
- Create comprehensive documentation for configurations, business requirements, and deployment procedures.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing sessions and provide training to end-users on new CPQ functionalities.
- Implement security protocols and data governance measures to protect sensitive information within pricing models.
- Utilize AI-driven engineering tools to automate documentation tasks and improve code quality standards.
- Collaborate with Agile teams during sprint planning to translate business requirements into technical tasks.
- Monitor system health and performance metrics to ensure high availability of CPQ solutions for sales teams.
- Propose enhancements to the quote-to-cash process based on feedback from Deal Desk and Finance stakeholders.
- Ensure all development practices comply with industry standards and organizational data privacy regulations.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Possess a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development with a strong emphasis on the Salesforce platform.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes and established Salesforce best practices.
- Show proficiency in Apex programming, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flows, SOQL, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Have direct experience with product modeling, pricing rules configuration, and end-to-end quoting workflows.
- Provide evidence of working with Salesforce integrations to external systems such as ERP and billing platforms.
- Obtain required certifications including Salesforce CPQ Specialist and Salesforce Platform Developer I or II.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issues in production environments.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders during project implementations.
- Collaborate successfully within cross-functional teams to achieve shared business objectives.
- Maintain strict compliance with data security standards and governance policies in all solutions.
- Apply knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage iterative development cycles efficiently.
- Understand CI/CD practices and Salesforce release management processes to ensure smooth deployments.
- Use problem-solving abilities to resolve high-priority incidents affecting sales productivity.
Nice to have
- Demonstrate familiarity with Salesforce Billing and its underlying data model.
- Have experience with Salesforce DX, Copado, or other Git-based workflow and DevOps tools.
- Show basic knowledge of Visualforce, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for front-end customization.
- Provide examples of creating training materials and supporting user adoption initiatives.
- Use practical experience with AI-powered development tools like Cursor and GitHub Copilot.
