About the role
The Sales Support Associate plays a vital role in supporting our expanding sales team by addressing inquiries, ensuring data integrity, conducting research, and assisting Account Executives in making informed decisions. This position also involves maintaining the functionality of our sales tools and systems.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage data maintenance tasks, including account hierarchy adjustments, account merging, and contact updates.
- Provide initial support for sales inquiries through the Sales Operations Case Queue, including triaging and resolving cases as appropriate.
- Act as a point of escalation for other sales support functions needing assistance from Sales Operations.
- Update data, such as account and territory assignments, and manage user administration in sales tools.
- Identify trends in issues and requests, suggesting improvements in processes and training.
- Configure and set up tasks in Salesforce.com and other sales tools.
- Adapt to changing priorities and respond to varying volumes of requests.
- Quickly learn assigned tasks and contribute to the development of documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Analyze data to identify trends and generate insights, including writing SQL queries for process automation.
- Create dashboards using Sigma/Tableau and analyze code segments regularly.
- Collaborate with internal teams across different time zones and gather project requirements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2.5 years of experience in sales operations is preferred, with a graduate degree in any discipline.
- Proficient in Salesforce with a basic understanding of its key objects: account, contact, lead, and opportunity.
- Experience with data management tools such as Data Loader and Demand Tools, along with familiarity with research databases like ZoomInfo and Crunchbase.
- Knowledge of sales productivity tools such as LeadIQ and Cognism is preferred.
- Experience with ticketing or case management systems like Salesforce, Zendesk, or Jira.
- Ability to manage large datasets effectively.
- Understanding of the sales cycle and data segmentation processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or G Suite, with intermediate skills in Advanced Excel and Macros.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
- At least 3 years of experience in SQL and automation skills in SQL/BI.
- Good knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Operations, Business, Project Management, or Engineering.
- Creative and proactive mindset with a collaborative approach.
