What you'll do
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring that MongoDB's solutions are effectively integrated into their business strategies and operational frameworks.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across your client accounts to ensure a approach to customer engagement.
- Oversee the renewal of contracts and proactively seek opportunities for account growth while following MongoDB's established sales methodologies.
- Advocate for the adoption of MongoDB features during client interactions, leveraging playbooks and analytics to uncover potential growth avenues.
- data-driven insights and proactive outreach to identify and address risks within your customer portfolio before they escalate.
- Collaborate with MongoDB leadership, product teams, and other departments to ensure favorable outcomes for clients.
- Conduct regular business reviews and enablement sessions to demonstrate the value of MongoDB's offerings and align them with client objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for account management that align with overall business goals and customer needs.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to provide clients with relevant insights and recommendations.
- Engage in continuous learning about MongoDB products and the broader technology landscape to effectively communicate value to clients.
- Document and track customer interactions and account activities using CRM tools to maintain accurate records and facilitate team collaboration.
- Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance your skills and contribute to the overall success of the Relationship Account Management team.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a quota-carrying role within Account Management, Business Development, Sales, or a similar customer-centric field.
- Proven track record of surpassing sales goals, particularly in areas related to contract renewals and upselling strategies.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of engaging a diverse range of audiences both internally and externally.
- Experience in delivering value to clients through virtual engagements, including business reviews and enablement sessions.
- Strong capability to articulate the advantages of complex enterprise technology solutions.
- A genuine enthusiasm for technology; while training on MongoDB products will be provided, a foundational curiosity about databases and related technologies is essential.
- Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a strong commitment to resolving customer challenges.
- A collaborative approach, as this role necessitates working closely with various teams, including Professional Services and Marketing.
- Familiarity with database, cloud, and infrastructure technologies is a plus.

The base salary range for this position in the United States is $118,996.80. Compensation will be adjusted based on individual qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, MongoDB offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include equity options, participation in an employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, fully-paid parental leave, fertility and adoption support, a 401(k) plan, mental health resources, and health benefits.
