About the role
We are seeking a Senior Workato Integration Engineer to become part of our GTMTech team in Gurugram. This pivotal position entails the creation, deployment, and maintenance of integrations that are vital for our business operations. The role demands a proactive approach to designing automated workflows that connect disparate systems, ensuring data flows seamlessly across the organization. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of integration projects, from initial discovery and requirements gathering through to implementation, testing, and ongoing optimization. A core responsibility involves leveraging automation and AI capabilities to reduce manual, repetitive tasks and drive significant operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to translate high-level business objectives into robust, scalable technical integration solutions. This position is instrumental in supporting key strategic initiatives such as the Quote-to-Cash process, directly impacting revenue operations and profitability. Ultimately, you will help establish and promote industry-leading integration best practices across the GTMTech team.

What you'll do
- Design, automate, and support complex integrations across a diverse landscape of business systems and platforms using Workato.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to gather intricate requirements and develop precise technical solutions.
- Utilize deep integration knowledge to architect scalable, resilient, and observable integrations that are fully operationalized in production environments.
- Establish, document, and actively promote stringent integration best practices, standards, and governance models for the GTMTech team.
- Participate in a rotational on-call support schedule to ensure high availability and rapid response to any integration incidents or outages.
- Embody and actively advocate for MongoDB's core cultural principles, values, and behaviors in all interactions as we expand globally.
- Develop and maintain secure, high-performance integration workflows that connect Salesforce, Netsuite, HRIS, and Google AppSuite ecosystems.
- Mentor junior engineers and stakeholders on integration strategies, tooling capabilities, and the potential of automated workflow platforms.
- Drive the implementation of Workato MCP integrations and agentic workflows to enhance automation and operational intelligence.
- Continuously monitor integration performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Leverage Python or Ruby scripting skills to extend integration capabilities and handle complex data transformations.
- Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure all integrations adhere to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools and frameworks that streamline the integration development and deployment process.
- Analyze business process gaps and identify opportunities where integration and automation can deliver substantial efficiency gains.
- Ensure all integration solutions are built with scalability, maintainability, and robust error handling as primary design considerations.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Bring a minimum of 5 years of cumulative professional experience in enterprise integration and workflow automation.
- Demonstrate at least 3 years of hands-on, production experience developing integrations on platforms such as Workato, Mulesoft, or Boomi.
- Show a strong, proven understanding of enterprise integration design patterns, message-based architectures, and event-driven architecture principles.
- Exhibit advanced proficiency with a wide array of Workato connectors, including but not limited to Salesforce, Netsuite, HRIS, and Google AppSuite.
- Highlight substantial experience with Python or Ruby scripting to build custom logic within integration workflows.
- Provide evidence of successfully implementing Workato at a large scale, with a focus on automation, observability, monitoring, and debugging.
- Display strong analytical and design capabilities, with a keen emphasis on system design, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Illustrate the ability to meticulously translate complex and ambiguous business requirements into clear, technical integration specifications.
- Confirm experience in creating and consuming secure, scalable REST APIs within integration solutions.
- Show a history of implementing Workato MCP and agentic workflows to enhance automation and operational efficiency.

- Collaborate effectively with business and technical teams, acting as a bridge to translate intricate business requirements into viable technical designs.

- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, documenting processes, and suggesting enhancements to integration methodologies.
- Ensure all integration solutions provide robust observability, enabling effective monitoring, debugging, and performance analysis.
- Demonstrate a commitment to security and compliance by ensuring all integration implementations follow established guidelines and protocols.
