We are seeking a skilled Senior Salesforce Engineer to join our team in Gurugram. This position involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable CRM solutions that enhance MongoDB's Sales operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Salesforce development and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. You will partner with diverse stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into elegant, automated digital workflows. The role requires ownership of the full delivery lifecycle for Salesforce initiatives within the IT SaaS Engineering Team. What you'll do
- Architect and develop sophisticated Salesforce solutions that streamline MongoDB's core Sales processes and data integrity.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into detailed technical specifications and secure, scalable system designs.
- Engineer robust Apex triggers and Lightning Web Components to deliver responsive and high-performance user experiences.
- Implement and optimize SOQL queries and complex business flows to ensure system efficiency and adherence to governance standards.
- Configure and manage Salesforce automation platforms and integration tools to connect CRM data with enterprise ecosystems.
- Oversee the complete solution lifecycle, including rigorous testing, phased deployment, and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Collaborate with globally distributed engineers in an Agile framework to deliver incremental value and resolve blockers swiftly.
- Champion best practices for code review, version control, and platform governance to uphold solution quality and reliability.
- Conduct in-depth diagnostics of intricate system issues to identify root causes and implement sustainable, long-term fixes.
- Research and integrate emerging Salesforce capabilities and AI-driven engineering tools to boost personal and team productivity.
- Mentor junior developers on Salesforce architecture patterns, coding standards, and effective problem-solving techniques.
- Proactively monitor production systems to identify performance bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure all Salesforce implementations meet regulatory and data privacy requirements.
- Act as a technical advisor to business users, guiding them on solution capabilities and configuration best practices.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Bring over 8 years of hands-on experience specifically in Salesforce development and enterprise application engineering.
- Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Apex programming, Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript, Flows, and SOQL.
- Show a solid grasp of Salesforce architecture principles, governor limits, and multi-tenant environments.
- Have a proven track record with CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and performance optimization in Salesforce orgs.
- Exhibit strong experience integrating Salesforce with external enterprise systems via APIs, ETL processes, and automation platforms.
- Possess the Salesforce Platform Developer II certification, as it is highly valued and preferred for this role.
- Highlight additional credentials such as JavaScript Developer, Advanced Administrator, Application Architect, or System Architect certifications as advantageous.
- Display a working knowledge of modern AI-powered development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Agentforce for enhanced productivity.
- Commit to adhering to strict security and privacy standards when utilizing AI tools and handling sensitive data.
- Show the ability to thrive in a distributed team environment, communicating effectively across time zones and cultures.
- Demonstrate a passion for continuous learning and staying current with the rapidly evolving Salesforce ecosystem.
Success Measures
Within the first 3 months, you will immerse yourself in MongoDB's Salesforce landscape to fully understand our unique business processes and data models. By the 6-month mark, you will have successfully delivered on critical Salesforce initiatives, establishing yourself as a trusted and reliable contributor to the Sales Apps team. After one year in this role, you will be recognized as a key engineer responsible for Salesforce solutions, fostering strong cross-functional partnerships and significantly contributing to the scalability, performance, and quality of our CRM platform. Your success will be measured by your ability to leverage Salesforce technology to empower our sales teams and drive measurable business outcomes.
