About the role
MongoDB is actively seeking a Director of Partner Solution Architects for the APAC region to manage and elevate our relationships with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), HyperScalers, and System Integrators (SIs). The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team focused on strategic alignment, ensuring that our platform capabilities meet and exceed partner requirements. This role is critical for driving mutual business growth and reinforcing MongoDB's position as a foundational technology within the partner ecosystem. You will own the end-to-end strategic narrative for partners, translating complex platform capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions that address diverse audience needs. Success in this position will be measured by the tangible growth, adoption, and profitability of the partner-led initiatives you steward, directly shaping how MongoDB is perceived and utilized across the entire network.
What you'll do
You will direct a team of Partner Solution Architects responsible for building and maintaining high-value, strategic partner relationships. This involves creating and executing comprehensive strategies that rigorously align MongoDB's objectives with the specific goals and roadmaps of our partners. You will act as a key advisor, ensuring that all partner solutions remain competitive, technically robust, and aligned with market demands. A core responsibility is to coordinate closely with internal product, engineering, and sales departments to optimize partner engagement and remove barriers to success. You will provide partners with the necessary resources, technical enablement, and knowledge transfer required to integrate MongoDB offerings effectively and deliver superior solutions to their own customers. The role also involves collaborating with sales and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities, expand market reach within the APAC region, and oversee the creation of joint proposals and co-branded solutions. You will mentor team members, fostering an inclusive, high-performing work culture that encourages innovation and excellence. Additionally, you will represent MongoDB at key industry events, conferences, and internal forums, serving as a thought leader for the partner ecosystem.
Requirements
To be considered for this Director, Solutions Architecture role at MongoDB, candidates must possess a minimum of 12 years of cumulative experience in solution architecture or partner management, with 8 to 12 years spent in a leadership capacity. A proven track record of successfully executing partner engagement strategies within cloud or technology sectors is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to influence senior leadership across multiple partner organizations and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments common to large-scale technology deployments. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. The position requires a willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the time. Additionally, candidates should bring a demonstrated history of developing, managing, and scaling complex partner programs that yield measurable business results. Strong analytical skills are necessary to analyze market trends and translate them into actionable partner strategies. You must exhibit a strong capacity for cross-functional team leadership and communicate effectively, articulating both technical and business value propositions to diverse audiences. Proficiency in strategic planning and comprehensive partner ecosystem management is required. You will exercise cross-functional team leadership to guide engineering, sales, and product initiatives. A deep knowledge of cloud environments and ISV/SI partner models is necessary to provide accurate technical guidance. You will utilize data-driven decision making to assess partner performance, identify gaps, and prioritize opportunity areas. Proficiency in utilizing collaboration platforms and project management tools is required to manage complex workflows and timelines. The ability to rapidly learn and articulate new technological concepts to non-technical stakeholders is a critical part of the role. Experience with deal registration processes and partner enablement frameworks is expected to ensure effective ecosystem participation.
