About the role
The IT SaaS Engineering team manages the Salesforce ecosystem to support MongoDB sales operations and customer engagement. You will focus on platform governance, system configuration, and security to ensure our sales tools remain scalable and reliable. In this capacity, you will steward the configuration and lifecycle of critical sales platforms, ensuring alignment between technical capabilities and evolving business demands. You will own the integrity of declarative logic and security models that govern how sales teams interact with data. You will act as a bridge between technical constraints and commercial objectives, enabling sales teams to operate efficiently. You will evaluate emerging capabilities and translate them into improvements for day-to-day administrative practice. Your work will directly influence the responsiveness and reliability of the tools that support revenue generation.

What you'll do
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the Salesforce CRM platform for the global sales organization, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Configure and refine core Salesforce elements including user roles, permission sets, profiles, and sharing settings to enforce least-privilege access.
- Design and build declarative solutions using Flows, Lightning App Builder, Dynamic Forms, and Approval Processes to automate complex business workflows.
- Support DevOps workflows, including CI/CD deployments, environment coordination, and release readiness to streamline changes across sandboxes and production.
- Collaborate with developers, program managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional solutions that balance innovation with stability.
- Participate in audit preparation by documenting configurations, validating internal controls, and gathering evidence to demonstrate compliance.
- Troubleshoot system issues and maintain data integrity to ensure platform stability and preserve trust in critical sales data.
- Research new Salesforce features and industry best practices to improve administrative maturity and identify opportunities for incremental optimization.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams to align Salesforce settings with broader enterprise security frameworks and governance policies.
- Monitor system health indicators and administrative debt, proposing remediation plans to reduce long-term operational risk.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates comparable depth.
- Bring 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience within mid-to-large enterprise environments, with a proven track record of managing complexity.
- Maintain active Salesforce certifications including Platform Administrator, App Builder, Advanced Administrator, and Sharing & Visibility Designer, with valid credential records.
- Demonstrate familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Copado, Gearset, or Git-based deployment workflows to manage promotion and change control.
- Show knowledge of AI-powered and agentic tools including Agentforce, Cursor, or Claude Code, including practical exposure to their capabilities and limitations.
- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to dissect process requirements and map them to technical configurations.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, translating intricate system behavior into clear, actionable guidance.
- Display robust troubleshooting skills, using logs, reports, and configuration reviews to isolate root causes and implement fixes.
