Enterprise Account Executive
Job description
About the role
You will own the end to end enterprise sales cycle for Miter, acting as a consultative partner to large construction and field services organizations as they move to modern software. You will define and drive enterprise demand from the ground up, shaping the playbook for how Miter sells to the largest contractors in the country. You will build deep relationships with C suite and VP level economic buyers, including CFOs, COOs, and VPs of Field Operations, guiding them through a complex buying journey. You will translate the value of AI driven HR, finance, and operations into a clear business case that resonates with a prospect's specific cost structure and operational reality. You will own the full motion from first outreach through contract signature, coordinating solutions engineering, launch, and customer success to ensure clean deployment handoffs. You will help write the enterprise playbook from scratch, working alongside GTM leadership to define standards for a forty year old industry that is finally ready to change. Your work will have a direct impact on how the largest contractors manage their teams, projects, and financials, accelerating the creation of a better built world.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Own a named list of enterprise accounts, including multi state general contractors, specialty subcontractors, and vertically integrated construction firms, driving net new logo acquisition from first outreach to signed contract.
- Run complex, multi stakeholder sales cycles that involve economic buyers at the C suite and VP level, along with IT, payroll leadership, procurement, and legal decision makers.
- Partner cross functionally with Solutions Engineering, Launch, and Customer Success to scope multi entity, multi EIN deployments and ensure requirements, security, and operational needs are captured early.
- Lead commercial negotiation from start to finish, defining pricing, MSAs, security requirements, and procurement terms that align with enterprise risk profiles.
- Build a quantified ROI story for each prospect, tying Miter capabilities directly to their cost structure, project volumes, and field execution challenges.
- Maintain disciplined pipeline and forecast hygiene in Salesforce, providing account level insight back to Product and Marketing to inform roadmap decisions.
- Represent Miter at industry events and trade shows focused on construction and field services, building brand presence and qualified enterprise pipeline.
- Develop deep domain expertise in construction operations, translating prospect pain into urgency and framing Miter as the only logical choice for transformation.
- Act as the primary commercial and technical liaison during evaluation, responding to security questionnaires, pricing requests, and legal inquiries with precision.
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Launch to design post sale onboarding and adoption strategies that reduce time to value and expand trust.
- Track competitive set and articulate clear differentiation, updating battle cards and playbooks based on real world feedback from buying committees.
- Coach and mentor junior sales reps on enterprise selling techniques, discovery, and negotiation, elevating the overall standard of performance.
Requirements
- 6 plus years of quota carrying, full cycle SaaS sales experience, with at least 2 years selling to enterprise accounts and a track record of consistently exceeding enterprise grade quotas.
- Demonstrated experience running complex, multi threaded sales cycles with five or more stakeholders, including procurement, security review, and legal contract negotiation.
- Proven fluency with structured enterprise sales methodologies and disciplined pipeline and forecast management in Salesforce.
- Executive presence that enables you to build trust and credibility with C suite and VP level buyers at large, established companies in construction and related fields.
- Sharp discovery instincts that allow you to surface business pain a prospect has not explicitly stated and translate it into urgency for change.
- Strong cross functional orchestration skills, with the ability to mobilize Solutions Engineering, Launch, Customer Success, and Legal around enterprise deals without dropping the ball.
- Comfort selling into highly regulated environments where security, data privacy, and procurement requirements are central to the buying process.
- Willingness to travel regionally within the United States for customer meetings, industry events, and solution validation workshops.
Nice to have
- Experience selling into construction, field services, or other traditionally underserved verticals where software modernization has been slow.
- An existing network of general contractors, specialty subcontractors, and industry influencers who can provide warm introductions and reference checks.

This role requires travel within the United States for customer visits, industry conferences, and internal training sessions. You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship, and you should be prepared for a fast paced, mission critical environment where you will help define an enterprise motion for a scaling vertical software company.
