What you'll do

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective testing strategies.
• Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard bug tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
• Implement automated testing frameworks and scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to developers to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and testing methodologies.
• Mentor junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring seamless deployment processes.
• Assist in the development of quality metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of testing efforts.
• Engage in exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that may not be captured by automated tests.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, as well as experience with test management tools.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation purposes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and improving testing processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
• Familiarity with mobile application testing, including iOS and Android platforms.
• Understanding of API testing and tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments and tools.
• Previous involvement in open-source testing projects or contributions to testing communities.
