What you'll do

• Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective business clients to verify their legitimacy and compliance with regulations.
• Review and analyze documentation submitted by businesses, including incorporation papers, tax identification, and ownership structures.
• Collaborate with the compliance team to assess risks associated with onboarding new clients and recommend appropriate actions.
• Maintain detailed records of all KYB processes, ensuring that documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Monitor ongoing compliance of existing business clients, conducting periodic reviews and audits as necessary.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and financial institutions to ensure adherence to local and international compliance standards.
• Develop and implement internal policies and procedures related to KYB processes, ensuring they align with industry best practices.
• Provide training and support to other team members on KYB processes and compliance requirements.
• Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry trends that may impact the KYB process.
• Assist in the development of tools and systems to streamline the KYB process and improve efficiency.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management regarding KYB activities and compliance status.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex business structures and ownership.
• Proficient in using compliance software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

Nice to have

• Experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech sectors is a plus.
• Familiarity with international compliance regulations and standards.
