- Foster a culture of safety by encouraging employee participation in safety committees and initiatives, recognizing and rewarding safe behaviors.
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness for potential incidents, ensuring all employees are familiar with procedures.
- Review and update safety policies and procedures regularly, ensuring they reflect current regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate safety considerations into operational planning and project management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably within the mechanical or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Proven experience in conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex safety concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions based on findings.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
